  1. The West Virginia Museum of Glass has marbles on display but I think they are mainly marbles and not much, if any, marble related items. Some years back, there was a National Marble Museum in Yreka, California but it closed down and all of the donated marbles and marble related items were shipped to the WV museum. I am guessing a lot of it is still in storage. Lee's Legendary Marbles in York (?) Nebraska is another locations with a lot of marbles and marble memorabilia.
  2. Here is a picture that the late Les Jones posted back in 2000 - calling it a Golden Dragon. No other information on the description.
  3. I have not seen that larger blister package in that style - just some of the "J" pkg types. The smaller blister packages I have a few of - here are a couple pics.
  4. Yellow with red looks CAC
  5. That is a nice looking marble. For some reason, Marble King pops to mind.
  6. 3rd down on left is probably a Peltier Rainbo as is the far right one.
  7. If it is the current year, it will just have month and day, as the ones here do. If it is older, it will have the year also.
  8. You can read all kinds of numbers or letters from the patterns on the marbles. Unless they are contemporary marbles specifically made with number or letters, they are accidental. Some people do collect these odd patterns. Here is my "State" marble.
  9. Sad to hear. My prayers go out to his family.
  10. Didier's "Vacor" website had been down for a little while. I finally emailed him and he messaged back that he was unaware of the breakdown (busy with real work (my words)). He found the problem with the server company and fixed it. Website is back up and Mega/Vacor collectors breathe a sigh of relief.
  11. Look like MK's. There are some with the transparent/translucent base.
  12. He uses his name at the beginning so people know it is his marble. He has a good reputation so in buying marbles online, it is good to know the seller and their reputation before buying, especially if you are a new collector. You don't want to get ripped off.
  13. Just curious on what happens if buyer disputes - doesn't eBay side with Buyer and refund money automatically? Or does eBay side with seller on the "no returns" stated in the listing?
  14. And, by the way, it is machine made - no rod attached, etc.
  15. Thank you for sharing Ron - beautiful collection and unusual pieces.
  16. Ron would probably have to give you approximate dates but they were in business in the 30's & 40's so I would surmise that these would be from the 40's?
