  1. Yea, I remember back in the day when most everyone on the board knew of each other one way or another. heck there were even chat sessions. Now a lot of BS gets tolerated because we really don't know who is what. Or what is who. The BS got routed out a lot sooner back in the day. Most of the time(LOL)
  2. Thanks for the cool work Rich but we are still talking two completely different things IMO. Torch work vs a Furnace. I agree it would be extremely difficult to mix two colors of glass into a third in a torch. I also think we may be talking about two differnt things when it comes to what happens at the edge of two different stream vs mixing in a furnace. 2 colors mixed in a furnace do not always make nasty colors.
  3. rainbos are actually 4 streams on the marbles. 2 streams often bleed together making appear as one. Notice how they are always darker at the edge while whities will usually appear the same from edge to edge. That is also a much wider than normal band on that whitie.
  4. Rich. grind up to a powder one color of glass. Do the same to another. Now mix and melt. I bet you a million dollars you get a third color of glass. Torch work is pretty much a completely different process than furnace work.
  5. Checked all your purchases I could and it is looking more and more like a beginner collector way past their teens that has felt the need to come up with some lame brain story about a twelve year old and a great grandma. Insecurity about being new to the hobby or whatever, it is just way too strange. Obama says show me the birth certificates for you and grams(LOL)
  6. Very nice displays!!! Catfish I see a few that need to be here with me.

  8. sorry I took so long, but I was talking about the Peltiers.
  9. I guess the question I have is how a twelve year old learned to write and have grammer like a thirty year old and where do they get money like $300 to offer someone to sort their marbles. Definitely not going at this new hobby like any twelve year old I have ever known.
  10. actually Rich there is marble glass that does blend together to make another color. We often call it bleeds or blends. Red and yellow Akro glass will often form a green between the 2 colors. Some glass will make totally unexpected colors where they meet and bleed blend together. Probably a type of Chemical reaction? And as you stated there is also much glass that refuses to mix at all. It should say blue and yellow in the 3rd sentence.
  11. Nice marbles Edna. As for the green and red It is my understanding that they are even harder to find without the white.
  12. I did, and betting it is Pelt. I have been wrong before and if it is an Alley I won't be disappointed at that price.
  13. Isn't it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380371050455#ht_500wt_1202
