  1. The mis-identification of the new run Jabos by even a seasoned collector. The start of the great debate(LOL)
  2. The marble companies in that time period made their own glass. It is that plain and simple.
  3. All of the marbles made at MFC were handgathered. Most do but many do not show a 9. Many more hand gathered marbles made at The Christensen Agate Company show no 9 at all and it seems they did not like the 9 at all on several handgathered types.
  4. And vintage marbles rarely if ever exhibit that type crazing so it is much like signing them.
  5. I love seeing something pretty much proving that Germany was using machines to make slags at the same time(or earlier) than we were.
  6. I Have marbles. Email me at galenww-at-gmail.com
  7. I really believe that blue marble is a Vacor made 10+ years ago. Use an extremely bright backlight and you may be able to tell the base is dark transparent glass.
  8. Broken corkscrew is a Peltier like Steph shows and always show seams. That is a very cool example of a MK broken corkscrew IMO and I do not believe they are very common. I will look at some MKs when I get home.
  9. need some clearer pics but that may be a Vacor
  10. I can't wait to strike a deal!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had them shipped to me several times. Galen, "is already drooling"
  11. The one I pictured is the so called Japanese transitional type. Some day we may know where they were made.
  12. Will trade marbles for Morels. Just roll them loosely up in some paper towels Put them in a box and mail them this way. I have been known to give up CACs for Morels. I am serious.
  13. even across the ocean it Seems like Blue and Amber were often used in the same day.
  14. The burnt like areas really detract also.
  15. I would be willing to bet and give odds 99% of the so called sea glass and sea glass marbles sold on ebay are products of a tumbler not the ocean.
  16. Marble King was used for marbles name long before there was a Marble King Company. I think the same can be said for the name Champion. Neat pics to prove the point.
  17. Those are correct and that box(LIBERTY)also came with all onyx corks(Perfections) in the inserts. 5 different colors. It also came with 4 rows of perfections and 6 rows of moss agate patches
  18. I think I just ate Nemo and a bunch of his cousins. The 15 piece sashimi special at the local sushi restaurant is spectacular!!!!!!!!!!!! Living on the West coast does have its perks! http://www.royalpolaris.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=20&Itemid=26
  19. Just catching the little tuna for bait is a kick. Lets go!! And the yellow tail and yellow fin make killer sashimi.
  20. Harvey St becomes Dane st. I think Akro was 1 Dane st.
