  1. The yellow one is a mistake or accident.
  2. A marble which glows under blacklight does not mean it is old. Almost or every marble company made some marbles which will glow. Some were made intentional to glow and some were not.
  3. Homemade ? Handmade and or machine made. Handmades are made at one or two or three or four at a time, from a cane of glass at about one marble each 3-5 minutes. . The machine mades are made with mechanical equipment and a marble machine at about 250 per minute. The handmades all have a pontil marks where it was attached to a punty rod or cut off of the glass cane. There are old handmades and new contemporary handmades. There are old machine mades and newer machine mades.
  4. I do not see the opaque white and pink Clam Broth that I seen earlier. It may be one of your better handmades.
  5. First group four handgathered German handmade Divided Core Second, Lots of damage, maybe messed up Peltier? Missing the 4th ribbon. Third is two German handgathered handmades. Sometimes called Melon Balls.
  6. Condition is number one with marbles. The picture of the handmades has a white base and pink Clambroth bottom left. About 6 micas. Maybe some Solid Cores.
  7. Another great video. The old St.Marys Watermelon and Girl Scout combination was named Melon Girl many years ago. It is a very difficult MK to find even at a high price.
  8. Long time marble collector and friend Ed Parsons of Ohio passed away today about 6pm. Ed had a bad stroke with complications about three weeks ago. My condolences to his family. Rest in Peace Ed
  9. #1 Vitro or Akro #2 Alley with drizzle. It is a machine made marble. Not hand made . Not hand gathered (hand dipped). The Alley is from 1932-1940. Vintage hand mades are about 1850-1910. #3 vintage hand made oninioskin.

    Blue sky?

    Correct #3 is 100% Vacor.
  11. But they glow, they have to be old.
  12. I don't have a single dug marble in my collection. They all came together so they are all one company and old. Been in the attic, barn, basement, cellar, under the house, untouched for 75+ years, but has a Jabo. Fractured but mint. Wet mint. But it says so in the book. It has a name, it has to be worth a lot. Dug marbles are all damaged. Cat Eye marbles have no value. Have you lost your marbles. The marble machine makes the type, pattern or style marble. Red is oxblood. I will not drop your marble on concrete. It is a vintage Jabo. WV swirl marbles are junk. I can identify every marble. It is old, it was in a antique store. They are old so they are worth a lot. I saw one on ebay for $1000.00 . I will buy a book with pictures, for identification of every marble. WV swirls cannot be separated. Rare. I know what I have. Alley never used aventurine. Paul Bunyan marbles were made by Ravenswood Novelty. Machine made with a pontil.
  13. Not many fish in the pond anymore. It did have nice bass, but it is to shallow now. I saw the clear cutting near Walmart. I have no idea why. My highest hope would be for a Lowes. But I doubt there is enough room. I hate autumn olive. Cut it and it will double or triple if you do not use the correct spray. Autumn Olive is the worst thing to hit this farm in my lifetime. I live on Trace Fork Rd.
  14. No doldrums here. More to do than I can possibly get done in years. A 200 acre hillside farm and woods always with something to do here. I live alone . So not a big change here. A few less trips to town and no travel to marble shows. Just cutting brush and trees, moving dirt, cleaning streams, before it gets hot. Phone calls and emails weekly checking on family and friends.
  15. I agree top left Jabo. Jabo made marbles from 3/8 or less, up to one inch size. Top right Master Bottom left probably Alley(only one distant view). Bottom right probably Champion.
  16. I thought the Dragons were all NLR. I am behind on info again.
  17. Very nice ! Great information and pictures. CAC oxblood. I have exact matching cullet which was dig at the factory.
  18. I saw your other pictures and I agree with CAC.
  19. All poor condition. Condition is number one with marble collectors. Patina is not good with marbles.
  20. Eggs and Sausage Red Devils. DOH
  21. First question to answer is your marble a NLR or Rainbo ? I have never heard of MK Sunburst ? So far the most known marbles labeled Windshield are certain Peltiers. Stretching the original names is a big problem and getting bigger every year, creating more confusion as if there is not enough already.
