winnie
Yes they look like Japanese pinchers.
winnie
Here're 3 patches just on the surface of a clear transp- base.Think they're Asian.
ann
Great thread. Asian patches are a whole new thing to me. Some of them are beautiful!
godown
I've always figured this one is an Asian ? 13mm This one has sort of aventurine finish

winnie
Greg,Cute, all China marbles. Here's a Japanese mushroom I think this is a Japanese patch, the glass and the colors are the same as the mushrooms. .
winnie
Random some Asian patches. I will clarify this, some of the patches that I find here,I'm pretty sure of that they're made in Japan, and if so I mentioned it. If I suspect that they're not made in America or Japan than I call them Asian. Of course Japan is Asian but when I mentioned Asian,I mean not Japan, can you follow it? LOL
Steph
I follow! Some of those do have an American look though. I wouldn't doubt Akro or Vitro or Master on some if they were found here. Such as the one on the lower left corner. keeperthread
winnie
Yes I know if they were found in America it would be much easier to ID them. It's mainly those damn patches why I struggle so much. Sometimes I hate them and can't look at them for weeks,it's a pity that I know so little about them. Here're I think Japanese patches with a colored transparant base and an opaque patch.
winnie
I'm not sure but these might be Japanese aswell. I'm pretty sure that the following pic- are Japanese marbles.
kbobam
Wow! Some of these are just killing me! The first one that made me go "oooh!" out loud was the transparent with the red-striped white patch. But then the other transparent with the blue patch started to make me go crazy too. Same thing for the earlier blue marble with what I want to call "the Akro-yellow patch". And this last one would be terrific if it only had all the great oranges and reds. But that one tiny little darker line makes it completely insane! ( :
aleecee
I have held on to these for quite some time...I just love the colors! The middle one has a bit of metallic in it...Imperials, but just too cute to cut loose!
ann
I too have a small, secret hoard of old (mostly translucent) Imperials . . .
Steph
I have/had some pretty ones which I seem to recall were translucent, but with a clear area on the side. I don't remember the colors except that they were understated and lovely. Wonder if I still have any ....

winnie
That last bag is interesting Al,with the paches,I wonder if you have more bags with patches in them? Here're some more imperial Asian.
Al Oregon
About a third of the Imperial bags/packages that I have contain patch types or a combination of patch, cats'-eye and speckled types. I think 35 or so. I think I covered the variety of patches in the pictures above.
winnie
Thanks Al. I've trouble with pasting my pic-from photobucket, think it's the new windows 10,I'll try again.Hehe it's OK now.
Steph
Wowzer. Oooh, trying to find the right way to praise the one on the right. So nice. And when I find the right word for that one, I'll start looking for the right word for the bottom one.
