Cute ... looks like a good place for other toys.

Heh.  Great minds, etc.  Just last night I made an attractive pile of my tin litho cars in there . . .

Alan -- I'm glad I didn't have that marble to look at in the late '60s.

I could look at it a bunch, now, though . . .

Is that Harry Besset?

That's adorable.  And new to me.

If you see a swirl structure in the marbles, then I'd agree Alley.

That's a beauty.

Slight swirl structure visible in the the white - black are just solid to the eye. The white glow a brilliant yellow/green under UV.

The puzzle has the original solution on a printed slip too.

Just reading Vitro's association with Pressman and realised I can't rule them out as maker...

Are those "Nosco" cracker jack guys? I have several of the flat animal ones that have a sort of Art Deco look to them.

Here are what in the early 70s we called "little rubber animals". They are 1/2" and there were about 100 different ones. They were sold for $0.05 or $0.10 each from clear bins. I later learned they were made by Schleich which still makes plastic animal figures today.
