Fire1981
WHOA! Those are amazing top shelf agates in my book 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
crashbelt
I see very few agates in the UK and I've never seen an old solitaire board with them. Great to see such beautiful examples.
William
The last one I have pictured is my favorite...it would be fun to try and count the facets on that one. Of all the ones I have, this one has the most and the tightest. Thanks for checking em' out 👍
I'llhavethat1
In my early marble collecting days I thought Agates were bland and sorted them with my "blah" clays and benningtons. It wasn't until later I learned they were actually prized more than glass German handmades at the time.

I was fortunate enough to have found the ones I have in the wild last year, actually only about 15 miles from my home! When I first saw them in the lot I had purchased, I took a quick breathe and whispered "yes!"
crashbelt
I thought it would be fun to match some handmade marbles with similar cane pieces I have. Starting with some Indians.

crashbelt
Another attempt to match marbles to a cane fragment. I'll call this Thursday's offering Green Onions after the Booker T and the MGs instrumental. Actually I think the bigger one on the left is a Joseph but we're among friends!!! 4
PittsburghMarbles
A few big ones I got. Wish I could find more sulfides while out hunting that are mint. These are the only two I’ve ever found in the past few years at antique stores that weren’t damaged and also unpolished. The other two I got super lucky and found at garage sales. 5

What camera/lens are you using? The first pic distorts the marbles at each edge into ovals….thought my eyes were going bad🥴
