A great reference and one for the favorites bar for sure. I'llhavethat1
Doesn't look "new" to me if that's what you're asking. The darker streaks are usually unintentional and caused by contaminants in the glass, and rollers (on the marble machine)
akroorka
This one show some attributes of a dug marble for sure. I am sure that you cleaned it before posting it and this is why I come to this conclusion. Early marble makers were a bit fussier than the later makers and this may have been one that was tossed because of the lack of structure. It may be a Pelt or it may be an Akro that did not make the mark. Compare the thin line to the brick that you posted and determine what the thin line may be, a lupe may help. Akro “Eggyolk and Oxblood” marbles are a hard find and many/most do not display very well. They can show up quite patchie---just sayin. Great info one this one by all involved !! Marble—On!!! 1
Steph
I'm with Pelt. What does the base look like when backlit? If the white base turns orange when light shines through it then we start thinking about Acme Realer.
Fire1981
I keep thinking about the Woody Rainbos after seeing the top 2 pics. Maybe the Woody Rainbo run ended and a PPP was starting.

Chad G.
I'm in for PPP (Peltier Peerless Patch) no realer here.
Steph
Yeah. Backlit photos don't always tell the tale. So maybe you still see some orange in hand which isn't showing up in the pic. But without the orange "fire" in the base glass, then no to Realer. I'll go with Peltier though, from the 1930's.

akroorka
You are an "Odd Duck"---one of my wifes favorite phrases---directed at me of course. Fire1981
If this is an Akro what color combo does it fall into ? Patch,Corkscrew or ? Do odd ducks cluck instead of quack ?
wvrons
Quacking patch. I don't see any corkscrew pattern. Color combo would be milky translucent white base and yellow.
