I think the grid is part of a light diffuser often used with recessed fluorescent lighting. You can pick it up at most home improvement stores.

I don't know if scheduling a show between Thanksgiving and New Years, when many people are busy with holidays and family, is such a good idea. I think that is a significant part of why attendance at the Hannibal show had fallen off so much in recent years. And currently, in the Midwest, we have the Crossroads of America show in September, The Badger Marble Club Show in October, The Pride of the Prarie Show in November and the Indianapolis Show at the beginning of January and the Buckeye show in February. The area may be saturated already. Having said that, I'd probably drive the hour to be there. lol.

Very cool! New to me,and it apparently picks up marbles too. The level of precision in the shooter drawing is impressive.

Pelt Sweet Pea is a new one for me. I have only heard the name associated with Vitro.

The Wolverine is just under 1/2". The two 'bos are 9/16", which is oversized in this group.

FYI: The good folks over at Glass Addiction have informed me that the Contemp is a "Spinner" from Rolf & Genie Wald. It is signed "Baddog", which is apparently the way they sign marbles that they are not entirely happy with.

About the only other thing I can imagine is if a company used cullet obtained from elsewhere versus batch glass they produced themselves to make marbles. Maybe the former is a "cullet marble"?

My understanding is that a size 0 marble would fit through a 5/8" hole but not a 9/16" (00) hole. So a size 0 marble could range from 9/16"+ to 5/8". Likewise, a 00 marble could range from 1/2"+ to 9/16". In essence, I think marbles were sized based on the smallest size hole they would fit through. A true peewee would have to fit through the 1/2" (000) hole. And I've never heard of a size 0000, which would be a 7/16" hole, or smaller. Although, I definitely have seen marbles smaller. FWIW.

Yup, 00 are 9/16". And I sure haven't seen too many 1/2" slags other than a few CAC, maybe a couple of pinch pontils . . .

Thanks for showing these, Winnie. They are unlike most I normally get to see. The red, white and blue one is cool. But the upper right one is my favorite.
