  1. Definitely a lot of color came through. The pattern 'adjustment' I need to think about a bit more, but looking at the before and after pictures I'm sure you're happier as it doesn't seem like there was a whole lot of visibility going in anyways and there's only so much that can be done with marbles beat to shite like that anyways Interesting work and to see the clear base come through on the last one
  2. Lol, I was thinking the same thing about pistachio family bottom left and thought crossed my mind about Champion on the top left with the lighter wispy lines (but thats just from the pics). I'm sure in hand they are great.
  3. So would Alley be the consensus on these? The darker patterns make for a nice appeal
  4. Cool marble and nice job catching the 'sparkle' in the pics
  5. Gnome, your 1st pic almost looks like some grinding action on the pontil. Might be older than the 'transitionals'. Winnie, a clear base isn't something I've seen before on those types of marbles.
  6. Looks like some interesting handmades, congrats. 2nd up from the bottom left corner looks really neat
  7. Are red/milky white in this style more common? Can't say I've seen the blue combo
  8. *edit*some of these in the above pic are 'cane cut' slags and aren't representative of the 9-and-tail pattern (for clarity)
  9. Might be trivial but it's the pattern we're talking about here right? ie: similar pattern on marbles consecutively coming off the machine. Nevermind, saw the CAC pic and I think we're on the same page with pattern/construction and so-called 'consecutive' marbles
  10. 'close but no seegar' lol, thought this was a bit more fitting thread. Live Bullet is on my stranded on a desert island list
  11. 100 views and no comments, so here's mine I think it would fall more into a cane cut slag category than a mag light Indian. That's a good thing IMHO nice size
  12. You'd think a regular metal nail would be just as effective for whatever game this is, and less chance of breaking. Sure, not as pretty looking but still
  13. Yep, good point Galen. Dollars pay the bills and sometimes the Taxman (landloard etc.) don't take marbles lol
  14. If we take the whole morality/ethical argument (and even marbles) out of the example, I could see somebody needing X amount of money quick and willing to make a deal quickly in order to meet their specific needs at the time. bills need to be paid etc Taking advantage of ignorance is wrong, but thinking broadly, there might be other reasons a seller would end an auction early (just saying)
  15. Might not be a popular viewpoint, but I've often thought that when it comes to a buyer and seller completing a transaction, whatever way works out amicably for both parties is their business and I would not get involved unless I were the buyer, or the seller. (I know I know, boo)
