  1. Best I can do for now Some nice 1's there m!b$
  2. Horse-hair oxblood as far as I know,
  3. Here's a couple more, Nutty. :Sad_headshake_tweetz: bad pistachio joke
  4. Those color chips are too-close-to-call. Most green + black or dark brown could fall under the "pistachio" umbrella, various shades of green + another color too., like darker green?
  5. ...but what are the Popeye purists going to say about "clear" being a "color" of the month? Just joking. Love to see pics of the handmades, wow, some nice ones so far, and yes there's a lot of clear in just about most handmades. Clear-ish lat core Not sure what this was supposed to be, but I like it. Scrambled egg? Nice Contemp from somebody...not sure who. A shooter sparkler I think Another Akro from what I hear Some handmades that Leroy helped out with, very nicely. Happy B-day Leroy, sorry I missed ya
  6. Thanks RAR, tham there indeed Elvis Lives..Uh HUh! or at least the duck
  7. Can't be 100% sure, SRB, but similar colors/same lot as the "elephant trunk pattern" on the bottom, just a hunch that they're both Pelt from what I can tell.
  8. A couple hand mades and a "unknown" machine made, Alley? Champion? Brown doesn't strike me as being "the most popular color" with the kids, but just fine with me.
  9. I've seen that sort of rainbow opal/iredescent on dug bottles before. Cool reaction between "whatever's in the ground" and the glass. Almost corkscrew patterns on some, like a bird/elephant/loch-ness Hey MikeyB, those last Mica's were sweet .
  10. I think that "clay" marble is really an indent on a marble board. Optical illusion though. I'd guess those are European of some sort
  11. some pics for Mary When it comes to pelts, and somebody says a "super-flaming-dragon-boy", correct terminology or not, I can pretty much picture what they mean. Some people would cringe at the thought and some people don't like Lima Beans either. It's a diverse world we live in, isn't it? To carry over to another mfg's marble ID for example ...If somebody says a tri-colored flame, I can picture the marble, but not the colors. If it's a tri-colored flame "with superman colors" (right or wrong) I still have a better general idea of what's being talked about. For marble landscaping, those "Bamboo shoots" you can get, grow good when "planted" in a pot of spare marbles.
  12. Nice pictures, good detail. If you didn't have to sort through a whole bunch (ie: 10x as many pics) to choose those you're doing better than most Marbles can be tough to focus on. New Camera?
  13. Thanks for the pictures and the time to share those. That's something not everybody would get a chance to see, wow!!
  14. A couple of my favorites, most interesting to me anyway! Love them handmades Great memories RAR! And yes, Leroy helped me with the last two and I think they're spectacular!
  15. Here's a couple, I was really expecting to see more like these (which I've heard of as snotties before) Darn near impossible to get a picture and see the colors as they appear "in-hand", but I figured snotties and fingers kind of go together.
  16. Nice, you really don't see the agates posted too much. Those are great examples, and good memories to go along with them!
  17. jtay, if that were mine I'd have it in with my Peltiers. That of course wouldn't mean it's a Pelt, but the pattern looks convincing enough from the pics. What size? Frogfullmoon, great pattern on that 1st one.
  18. A single stream would explain why some European flames look similar to wirepulls
  19. This is what I was thinking of, a bit closer than I thought, without the green of course. And yes, there is a possibility I'm way off
  20. That first one sure has a wild pattern! I've got a couple around that are only red & white that I was never quite sure since the pattern seemed too crazy for pelt. Red white AND green is even better, and really shows that pelt were capable of making some marbles that even make their later baseballs look pretty boring.
  21. They certainly all share the same type of style/colors and fill in a "gap" between onionskins and banded coreless. Some examples ranging closer to either of those styles, but great looking marbles no matter what they're called. I've heard colorful onionskins (with bright opaque colors) sometimes referred to as clowns. Is it possible for an onionskin to be on a base other than white or yellow? ie: clear?
  22. Wow, that's really interesting stuff! I sort my machine mades by "some of these don't quite look like the others" and a couple in question almost look like some that you've posted, in my opinion. I may have posted these pictures before, what do you think? OK, been a while since I posted a pic here...let's try this again From part II, and yes those green/red/black ones are cool too
  23. wow, the middle row from 9 to 3 are awesome, but they all look great! Must have been fun putting together that group!
  24. I'm liking some of these machine mades, really the "pink" & blue and the some of the others in the "clown" picture. Very nice
  25. Even better with my own two eyes, thanks Mike. Hadn't seen colors like 'em since this rainbow from a few weeks back. That Mica sparkles like rain in the sunshine, excellent.
