But Atmospheres were handmade and that sure does look like a machine-made style .... now I'm dithering ... but at least you have an interesting idea to consider.

Atmosphere is an intriguing possibility. That would make some kind of sense. I was drawing a complete blank.

After many years of wondering, we found a source for those marbles. The European wirepulls were made at Veiligglas in Amsterdam.

I don't feel confident with handmade names, but I think you have it. German Banded Transparent I _think_ that's right.

With that underlighting, "sunset" is an even more appropriate name. Nice effect.

Nooooo ... the mib on the stand is from Lloyd's box. This was the beauty in question. It's on the small side, less than 5/8", and I have been informed that Honey Onxyes are usually larger. I had been unaware of that. I was 99% sure it wasn't a Honey Onyx, but I couldn't resist asking about it. Isn't it pretty!

How large is the 2nd one? Not Vacor on 2nd one! My first thought was Master on the colors but the structure is more like a Sparkler. But the colors don't seem Akro. Could it be a European sparkler? For that matter, how large is the first one? Sometimes a larger marble will get that "orange peel" texture even if it is American made. What does it look like under a blacklight?

Richard, I keep getting this niggling thought that they might be Jabo. There are some U-shapes there ... and it would go with LTrain's other Jabos. But I don't know if Jabo did white in clear.

I need to redo my tutorial on seams/cutlines. It was accidentally deleted. Now that I have a decent camera, I can take pics of seams myself. The cutlines are important for marble identification. In your last picture, the probable cutlines start at about about 6 o'clock and 9 o'clock. Then they're pointing back into the photo. At this point, I think it will probably be a Jabo or a late Vitro.

I think your blue 3 vane is a wonky Pelt banana. Your Vitros are very photogenic.

Fun. Might need more angles for an ID.

Would go in my "transparent swirl" jar. (Wouldn't try to narrow it down more.)

I guess I'd let it ride around with my Vitros for awhile to see if it felt like it belonged.
