  1. Must. Have. Glass. I'd probably have it on my table right now if I had found it. How big is big?
  2. Wow, that first one is an eye full.

    At a loss.

I'm not sure what to make of it either. Not a transitional. With the clear red ribbon, I'm not seeing Vitro. So the 2nd choice could be Pelt. But it doesn't seem very pelty to me either. I guess it could be a Japanese marble in the pelt style. But with its two seams and the equatorial ribbon, it's not a transitional. This one is strictly machine-made. The transitionals are handgathered -- look for the 9 and tail on one end of a transitional.
  4. Vitro, yes. I think it's a blackline All-Red. But an unusual one since it is white on the end where we expect a color patch. I don't know what to say about the yellow-ish area. I'm going with "blackline All-Red".
  5. I will try to remember that! I'm not sure why I was reluctant. Nobody listen to me!
  6. That's an oh-so-beautiful puzzle piece maybe falling into place, but still some missing pieces around it. Since Milky Oxbloods are so different from Silver, I didn't have a good idea of what they might be called or when they might have been made/sold. I have seen silver in original packaging, but only had a "maybe" (that I can recall) on milky. Now ... do we have ads showing Hy-Grade .... trying to recall .... "One of these days" I need to make a big poster on my wall to help me keep all this stuff in place. I have a better than average memory much of the time, but lately it needs some help.
  7. With the bright white and the way the ribbon dips into the marble, I could see this last one being Ravenswood. But I wouldn't be surprised if one of our Alley guys came in and said it was Alley. I'd say it was one or the other.
  8. I don't know if it's Pelt. I'm not sure if that's "feathering" or just the way white sometimes splits up in a slag.
  9. Well hi, Richard! Nice to see you.
  10. I made a couple of contacts. Let's see what happens.
  11. Oh yes. Nice one. Akro Onyx corkscrew.
  12. There is someone by the name of Crystal who has caused some trouble recently in some facebook groups. She has done some namechanging to make things more confusing. One of the last names she used started with H. I think some think that you're that person .... Hopefully this can all get straightened out soon.
  13. Beautiful! Which is your newest? Which is hardest to find?
  14. Good news. I was surprised myself when I heard someone say it ... and I couldn't get confirmation. I guess that's why.
  15. I'm pretty sure Galen has the box of pastels now. Yeah ... the color looks good. I recall it being said that some were single-seam and some were two-seam. I'm not sure if any were handgathered (with the 9 and tail). I don't _think_ that any were randomly swirly.
  16. "Mib" is supposedly Latin for marble. Safe to call 'em mibs even at 1". I try to make a habit of calling the 1"-er a boulder. I recognize it when someone else calls it a shooter though. The reason I try not to to call it a shooter is because in tournament play, the max size allowed on the shooter is 3/4". But sometimes I go with the flow and call the bigger ones shooters. I don't personally call transparent based marbles "flames". But obviously some do! It sure is flamey. If that base were opaque, I think you'd be seeing your four tips. (Doesn't have to have the tips in every view, just one.)
  17. I think probably Alley is right on that one. I don't think of CAC pastels as being so swirly.

    Pelt?

That'd be my guess. Interesting one. Like it wants to be an earlier one colorwise, but moving more firmly into the rainbo era with the structure. I'd peg it at mid-30's to maybe the 40's.
  19. Definitely vintage! The purple is a slag. Probably Akro. The tan is a sweet transparent swirl. The pattern looks Alley. Ha! What lostmymibs said! I was still typing while he was posting.
  20. I thought I heard that Bill passed. Hope I heard wrong.
  21. How lovely And fitting for the season.
