  1. Do you have marbles which are practically perfect examples of their type? A "perfect" cross-through cat's eye. A perfect Akro auger? Let's see some classic examples which show off the defining feature beautifully. You up to the challenge? Here's Galen's CAC Turkey montage to start the show.
  2. Let's call in some help. @Nantucketdink Here's the album: http://marbleconnection.com/gallery/album/435-pward0212/ First thought ... the ones which seem like 1/2" are probably considered 5/8" to marble collectors. Just a small technicality. That 1/8" difference means a lot. But maybe you actually have 1/2"-ers ... which might be more collectable. My next thought is that you could sell on ebay. Here's a list of recently sold Jabo Classics to let you know what you might expect there. (When you see "Jabo Classics", that usually refers to marbles from 1991 to 2007.) https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&_nkw=jabo+classics&_sop=16
  3. Hi. Welcome. I'll add "Jabo" to your title so that the people who are good with Jabos will know they're needed. You could try to load the images into our gallery, or another photo host and then provide a link. Or maybe someone will be able to help you through email. But first let me get that title updated.
  4. New Years Resolution: Organize my Alleys. I couldn't say what my most interesting Alleys are. Gotta fix that.

    Humor Ar Ar

Ha! Took me half a second. Then I laughed so suddenly I spit on the keyboard. Which would be okay ... except it's a borrowed keyboard.
  6. Oh yeah, Paul will be by anytime to drool on those.
  7. lol Seller wrote back. Sounded like was saying "what you see is what you get", but I wrote back and now he has offered a partial refund. It's just a few dollars ... but it's the principle of the thing ... and all that. So if he gives me the partial refund I'll give him positive feedback for communication.
  8. That's how I see those Vitros -- as flowers.
  9. I'll cut 'em some slack. I know it took me awhile when I first started collecting to realize those were hit marks. But still amusing.
  10. This marble is "mint". But it has "Fantastic Natural Inclusions on the interior".
  11. Moving this to the main area to get more eyes. Might try a paperweight forum if we come up empty.
  12. I would try alcohol. Or most any other traditional way of removing glue from glass. There are _some_ glass marbles which can be damaged by applying solvents. But most will be safe. I would take the chance. I'd start with a red and white one. The other one is more unusual, so I'd wait on that one to see how things worked with the first marble or what comments others might say.
  13. Hmmmm ... I think Alley on the red and white. (If vintage, then definitely Alley on the red and white.) I guess that _could_ be Alley on the other one. I look forward to hearing what others say.
  14. Well hi, Caroline! Nice to see you. I don't know what those are.
  15. With five distinct vanes, I will agree with Vitro. I think not so easy to find.
  16. I also ordered one ... had been on my shopping list. Mine came without a battery though there's a spot in the packaging material for the battery. I've messaged the seller. Did yours arrive?
  17. I don't _think_ so. We call the style "St. Marys Alley" because that's the town Alley was operating out of when it was most likely made. (Alley had factories in different towns over the years.) Or at least that's what I usually call them. Maybe it has gained a name in the last couple of years and someone else will educate us.
  18. Neat! Marble fellowship. Thanks for sharing. And Merry Christmas to you.
  19. I don't know CAC's but I think I have a good feel for Pelts. So I only feel good answering half of the question.
