  1. I'm leaning Champion on the red one. Again, many would lump it in with "game marbles". I might put it in with them myself in my marble storage. But probably not technically a game marble.
  2. Single color marbles aren't always game marbles. But, yes, one like your right one would often be lumped in with game marbles. If it's bigger than usual game marble size of 9/16", that would be worth noting.
  3. I see one color of ribbons -- blue. To me "flip flop" describes something that happens with two or more ribbon colors.
  4. It does have a fair patch and ribbon pattern. I could see it being a little older than I was first picturing,
  5. Ravenswood had some nice glowy solid-colored marbles ... but the Ravenswoods would be swirls. So if you are seeing a patch-like pattern with two clear seams, then rule my thought out. But if you're seeing a swirl pattern in the marble, then think about Ravenswood.
  6. Ugh, it's hard to say this when people seem so confident. But are we SURE that isn't a modern Marble King?

    Cat eye

When I see a black banana with a clear base, I think Master. But I gather there are some other possibilities, such as Bogard? I have no idea what aventurine would do to the analysis. Cool mib.
  8. Not Akro. Japanese transitional.
  9. Hmmm ... the lightened up version looks a bit neon ... so maybe Akro Limeade oxbloods
  10. Does look like Jabo. On my screen most of the red looks transparent and thus wouldn't be oxblood. But there are some thin ribbons which could maybe be contenders for oxblood.

    Vitro?

Not saying no to Vitro. But also thinking Jabo.
  12. First thought Vitro. But Marble King had some odd vane shapes/counts in their modern cats. If six or more distinct vanes, I'll go with Vitro. What does it look like under blacklight? Some of the MK's had a faint blue glow in the base under UV.
  13. so nice And I really needed an inspiration to get me posting again in the history forum. 1957-08-01 -- Marble King promotional card set - Marble-Related Documents, News, Etc., Especially Items with Dates - Marble Connection
  14. Photos contributed by Jeff Hale, provided to him by the cards' former owner. Background story in his original post: link Thank you, Jeff. Berry Pink's cover letter: The accompanying price list And following will be the card set, ending with the the price list found on the reverse of the cards
  15. Ribbons a bit oddly positioned but I'm going to go with Peltier Rainbo on that
  16. Only the one blue patch? To me that wouldn't qualify as "mushroom". I don't really have a guess for the country of origin though.
