  3. Nice one Jerry they sure are easy to love
  4. My knowledge is also limited but would have said it was paneled as i think the basic criteria for panels is coloured segments considering your is green north pink east green south pink west i think that more than fits the bill i also would suggest its an onion skin craig
  5. What a Shame its was a pretty one
  6. cheers Greg yeah don't have many myself bout a dozen or so, its nice to get these 2 and i didn't have a good example of white so bit of a win for a change

  9. Took a bit of a punt on Uk ebay recently The ebay pictures were not the best to say the least but the description didn't mention any damage to the small ones and scratches to the large one so i took the risk thinking if the seller cant see any damage to the smaller ones they might be facet pontil obviously i couldn't tell what size they were from the pictures but figured if the cat was a standard most seen 5/8 size these guys might be under half inch Nope the cat is 1 3/16 and the handmades are one each either side of 3/4these are the 2 pictures from ebaySo they arrived yesterday and they turn out to be pretty nice they both have shrunken cores the cloud more so facet pontils at one pole and what looks like a pin pontil on the other pole so they are the early type I didn't have a white based cloud in my humble collection and the onion skin has a pretty awesome twist to it so pretty chuffed the condition is mint in hand, minor wear with no chips to the cloud and a scuff on the onion with the camera macro so happy with that as it was a gambleso all in all pretty happy with my gamble sent feed back straight away saying i was happy and received a reply later saying the seller had picked up some marbles from his grandpop and he would send me a picture if i was interested, so hopefully there might be more to come i haven't got any new marbles for over 12 months so happy to add theseThe scratches on the cat turned out to be some wicked spidery cut lines Cheers Craig

  12. Hi Steph I dont have the experience of others but i found this lot unusual for a few reason`s one of the black glass one`s is actually a green base the clear one top left has white stripping i haven't seen a clear one and don't see any pics online the blue one bottom right appears to have a core the light blue base with yellow & white looks to have a ribbon below the surface the lot sold around $200 us with shipping for 12 of these thought that was cheap as i figure they would clean up ok Craig
  13. thought this was an interesting lot of dug marbles

  16. Just an observation Interesting base glass on the green white mibs in the outer rows in the albright box quite a contrast to the other white base marbles in both box`s almost looks like they would glow ?
  17. Doh I still think you were right the first time What do you reckon i call this one, i found it under a porch bit beat up with a decent size chip but is the only example i've been able to rustle up in me travels those red spots i first thought may have been paint but are glass in the surface , Has yellow stripes just below the surface and white stripes in the core I would have thought its a Transparent submarine indian
  18. Hi Steph its one of the " Rootbeer swirl " types pictured above most like the one picture with the least white stripping bottom left
