Chad; after seeing your last post I gotta stick with my O P mib bein' electric. It is nearly identical to your "electric yellow slag". The biggest difference is; mine has some white on the surface, where yours appears to be all sub-surface. You have a better pic, and the color shows better. I will try to get better photos of mine. I'll try different backgrounds and lighting. Thanks Bruce

Was looking at my mibs, yet again, and picked up what I alway thought of as a swirl and discovered that it is actually a snake cork. It is technically a 3 color because of the hairs of Ox but I put it here anyway. I had to use backlight and blacklight to show what is goin' on here. I think it's HTF, but that's relative. Thanks Bruce

I guess HTF is completely relative. If you have never seen one it's HTF, if you have one, not so much. Anyway here are some that are not too common at my place. 1) brown/blue. the brown is streaky like ox but not red enough. 2)amber/yellow snake. 3)Pistachio/ transparent red 13/16 4)Red/black. absolutely opaque and pretty evenly divided so it's not possible to tell which is the base glass. 5)Rufous/pistachio 11/16

So mine is not electric. I have been told that it was. It certainly stands out in a crowd. Keep the real electrics comin'. Thanks Bruce

One of the threads in the ID section morphed into a discussion about "electric" colors. I think they might be a judgement call, It still would be interesting to see everybody's "electric" mibs. I'll start with my only one, my big ol' yellow slag.

Ok, I have this one, and some questions about it: Isn't Aventurine supposed to sparkle like the Pelt above. This one has what looks like soot in it, very little, if any, sparkle. Yet I see similar mibs posted. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but it doesn't sparkle like an ally spruce or a pelt zebra. Thanks Bruce

Opaque black marble with subtle aventurine- who makes these?

Just read thru the "post a marble with a name" thread. I had 2 thoughts : Any way of restoring or replacing the photobucket time outs? And is there any way of pinning it to the top of "marble ids" permanently? It could be a great tool, especially if added to regularly. Thanks Bruce -

I didn't even notice the road and tunnel but I was sayin' CAC because of the seam. Also a mighty nice marble. Thanks Bruce

It's Akro Friday again? I swore It wasn't gonna catch me off guard this time. Thanks for the heads up. Bruce

I think my favorite marble color is Pistachio. It kinda is on a spectrum. I'm gonna have to consult my crayon box to get the exact shade. Thanks Bruce

OK Chad and Roberto, here's a challenge: of all the gorgeous marbles you guys have posted, Pick your coolest 10. I wonder if they would be the same ones I would pick. I said in the OP that the last 10 were the toughest, and I don't have near as many beautiful mibs to choose from. Bruce

Not a brick. I would call it Akro but I'm always wrong. Bruce

Nice OX. Yup Roberto that's egg yolk Bruce

OK here's a question: what is the difference between a CAC slag and a CAC striped transparent. The pics I have in my Block's book look the same. Top rt. is striped opaque, the rest are clear base so slags or tranparents?
-
The first is a large slag-like mib. It looks like the photo of a CAC "bloodie" in my Block's book but no brown. Could it be an "American Agate"? The second Mib has brown and may be a bloodie but not a very good one. I dunno are they even CACs? Any thoughts? Thanks Bruce

Some rainbos. Don't know how uncommon, but, they are uncommon to me. The first is opaque dark brown with white.

oops ya caught me. I haven't had pink and black Argyles since I was a little kid. Wish I had some now but they are difficult to find in size 14. Thanks Bruce

Steph; orange and black flamingos? I thought flamingos were pink and black, like my sox. Bruce

Blue and green faceted German agates

I have read that the dyeing process was very toxic, and also not as simple as one might think which may account for the rarity. Thanks Bruce -
Cheese: The first mib in yer 10 is really nice, but I'm a sucker for corks. Thanks for showing. Bruce
