  1. Remind me what planet I'm on Steph !! Not with it today !!
  2. No !! Steph is the moderator here, I guess I should have specified who she is. I understand the confusion I caused, sorry bout that, I apologise, yes Stephen does have the YouTube I.D. thing goin.
  3. Hello Deanna, nice pelt, great pic, here's a few of my favorite pelts, I like em all so I guess I'll just post a few. Just got the bigger superman about a month back, I like them and it comes so close to being the smaller ones doppelganger, !! The blue lagoon walked through my door last summer so I snagged it at a more than reasonable price. I guess my Avatar I would have to say is my favorite Pelt. Steph's probably gonna move this to "General Marble Glass Chat" so no big surprise when it gets moved.
  4. Welcome Deanna, I like all mibs, handmades and machine, I'm way over on the West Coast, only 50 mi. from the Pacific. Chad G.
  5. Good for a clam Bruce, I don't have even one without some damage, I think every time I look at them they have more damage, like the glass is falling apart or something ?? Probably the softest glass I've ever encountered, any clam is a good clam Like them old aggies to !! Yes all of mine but one or two have some kind of damage also.
  6. Nice short tabs Bill The mib aint nothin to clown at either !! Christmas time, that popcorns gotta be the good stuff !! I only got one short tab and one long after I was divorced in 09 kinda wiped me out, lotsa Akro ware with oxblood in it though. I miss them smokers sets I had. Ah well only a piece of glass. I'm gettin there " slowly " 🐢
  7. Yes Jess, not many around anymore I know, but there are some. Did a big thread on blueberry and other ade's on the other forum, just about any color they made had a patch to go with, because of the small number of the white ones I take it they weren't a big hit with the kids.

    Dear Santa

Meanwhile back at the North Pole !!!
  9. Bill !! "The Cullet King" Seriously, nice mibs Bill, I can't wait for your next pix
  10. Either that or everyone's as broke as me from Christmas !!
  11. I agree Every day should be "Akro Friday" some old ade patches to help you through until Friday comes.
  12. Like the tabbed ashtrays Bill, did you get the two in the 7th pic ground down from "cullet" "remelt's" or what, just curious !! By the way as always thanks for the pix. The cullet matching is great !!

    Dear Santa

GOOD ELF, BAD ELF....... Hmmmm !!! " Busted" Or, Just An Inquisitive Window Washer?? Wwwhat !! you can see me !! I was just enjoying the snow !! Honest !! There is no snow ?? Well uh !! Oh !! Inside the window, well it was open !! Ohh boy here we go !! I guess I didn't use enough of that " Invisible Dust" !!! MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL, GOD Bless, be happy and stay safe !!!
  14. Yes a great conversation piece, it looks as if there's no interest in it ? Maybe there aren't as many inquisitive people as once I thought? They all want the Pelt Holy Grail I guess ?? If I had any $ left from Christmas I might throw a little at it, but from here I'm looking up from the bottom of a relatively deep Holiday hole.
  15. Please try a daylight bulb to eliminate the yellow dingy look and brighten up your pics. It will improve the capability to I.D. the marbles significantly. They're about 4 or $5 each at Walmart or whoever carries bulbs, throws out a blue white instead of a yellow light more like sunlight, great for taking pics of marbles or glass. 10 to 15 actual watts on a 40 to 75 watt bulb equivalent. try the 40 w equivalent first, stay away from the marble at least 12 inches, a little experimentation and you'll be taking pictures like a champ. Just a helpful hint from someone whos been there "Good luck " And A belated " WELCOME " Chad
  16. Please try ad put only one mib in the frame at a time Boris !! as close as you can get without blurring the surface of the marble. This will make the I.D. 10 times faster and more accurate (no guessing ) for who ever is I.D.ing your mibs. Thank you Chad
  17. A great one offer, if there wasn't blue looking av. in the ribbons with the classic pelt dimply surface, I would definitely go with MK, in which case I would be wrong but it would never be detected, personally I think it to be a great teaching tool Chuck !! post it in b & W, then with no av. and then in color with the av. I'll bet the answers would vary more than the colors on the mib do.
  18. "WoW" some kinda almost half double ingot looking thing Roby, the seam is really different, yes a nice larger size also !!
  19. Maybe a tad more research, either forum here at MC or at AAM will give you an I.D. within a day !! people here or there won't usually tell you something misleading or "wrong" I know that if I where selling I would make double Shure of what I had before posting it for sale if I had any question as to the I.D. I would state so in the header. Great "thank you " I see the fix.
  20. Most people will listen or at least ask if they don't understand. When someone blatantly posts something as something it's not they are quickly found out and exposed. I went to the trouble of explaining the difference between MK and Peltier and this is the answer I get LINK : https://www.ebay.com/itm/174565745810?ul_noapp=true You may fool people once or twice but after that you won't sell anything, no way you could miss identify that marble after all the trouble I went to. Even used the same pic on Ebay, come on man really !!
  21. Thanks for the input Ron, A great mib, I had to post it for conversation, a great learning point as far as glass flow, color, temp and production and non production. Every once in a while one like this slips by, as said when your producing that many marbles your going to see some like this. Thanks again for the input. I also posted this on the other forum with a much different out come. I realize it is a pelt I just wanted to see the reaction and read other opinions on it.
  22. No not a pelt, MK 100%, blue bees or other pelt NLR's have more well defined ribbons and don't fade into the base glass like 99% of veneered MK's on at least 1 ribbon, there are always exceptions, here are a few pics of pelt bees for you. I hope this helps you in determining the difference between a "pelt and a marble king" Pelt bees do not always have av. Finding one without is harder but still the ones with it are worth more. Sad but true I have no MK bumble bee's to share. There are still many more members of the pelt bee family I was just giving a few examples. A BRONZE BEE, courtesy of AAM, loaded with bronze colored av. A BLUE BEE, courtesy of AAM with a little different ribbon pattern than Bonnies, loaded with blue av. A BUMBLE BEE WITH HVY. BRONZE AV. (some may consider this a bronze bee) A RUBY BEE W/ AV. TWO MORE BUMBLE BEES 1st ONE NO AV. SECOND ONE WITH AV. ANOTHER SHOT OF THE SECOND ONE IN THE LAST PIC. SHOWING THE AV. IN THE SUN AND A LITTLE DIFFERENT GOLDEN BASE COLOR, and the more prevalent silver colored av.
  23. Yes Steph, at least the one side especially look's MK, nothing like a pelt, the other side is kind of iffy, either way In my mind a killer mib.
  24. A great idea and attitude lets use a sniping program, split the bid, and after we win the mib, them take some before and after picture's of the 🔨 in action !!! After staring at the auction post for a while this is what happened !! and a bit later and after a second look or maybe I started out this way ?? I'm glad someone seen fit to put a "hammer emoji" in here, thank you for the consideration. It came in handy.
