  1. Ah !! the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Land of Wonder ( I Wonder why I still live here ) LONGVIEW BABY !!
  2. You got sunshine ?? What a rip. " Nice mibs by the way"
  3. Well no excuse on his behalf, the pics were there & he knew exactly what he was bidding on. Sounds like "bidding fever" probably along with ( not enough money to pay ) probably had multiple bids in on a multitude of things and got carried away at your expense & time and probably a few others. Well at least now he's been flagged for a while anyway. You have a right to be upset, yes !! Must be aggravating to say the least
  4. x 2, Agree, imperial for me also. a newer marble. Opaque like this is ok, you only have to worry about capturing what's on the outside wait till you get some semitransparent or translucent glass with anything inside, it's almost impossible to photo for "me" the sheen or as you say reflection off the glass surface is a bear to deal with, I found I had to use a lower wattage bulb to get any semblance of clarity of the interior. Some marbles I gave up on or took another pic of it backlit. "I realize yours is opaque black" & can't be backlit so I'd say you did well considering. It looks very clear to me
  5. Chad G.

    Any ideas?

    x 2, I'm in for Pelt also
  6. Chad G.

    Special?

Yes much better pics, agree with Steph, the additional color doesn't look intentional, your call.
  7. You do have some nice bruisers Bruce Thanks for the pix
  8. I'd still go with Pelt myself, definitely doesn't look Akro.
  9. I'm with cheese, I bet it back lights a dark green, the asmade pitting and small blowholes are very indicative to pelt & make me lean all the more towards being a bruiser.
  10. x 2, Agree with Al, kind of a weird way for the tail to end like that, wish it wasn't beat up for a better look. Somebody sure had a good time with it, but yes a slag anyway you look at it.
  11. Ah Ha !! I found the definition of what they call themselves, the " WATCHERS " a bunch of idolaters Pretty freaky !! Haven't I heard the term " WATCHERS " and something about the "#" of fingers you have somewhere else in another old book. Hmm !!! AGAIN A CLOSEUP PICTURE OF THE FACES OF THEIR FALSE IDOLS FOLLOWED BY THEM IN THEIR FULL ATTIRE : WALDO IS THE ONLY ONE WITH 5 FINGERS ( IN MOST PIX ) EVERYONE ELSE HAS 4, THEY"RE "CHIMERAS" OR CONSTRUCTS. WILMA IS LEFT OUT, WALDO & HIS BUDDIES ARE STARTING TO CREEP ME OUT. WALDO, WENDA, WILMA WENDAS TWIN SISTER & DOPLEGANGER ALSO HAS 5 FINGERS, WOOF THE DOG ODLAW & FINALLY WHITEBEARD THE WIZARD ( AKA CULT LEADER ) WILMA WENDAS TWIN SISTER & DOPLEGANGER UNLIKE HER SISTER SHE HAS 5 FINGERS INSTEAD OF 4 I GUESS THESE ARE SOME WIERD LOOKING CLOSE RELATIVES OF THE "WATCHERS" LOOK @ THEM THEY"RE MESMERIZED !! YOUNG & OLD THE WATCHERS DON"T DISCRIMINATE, A NEW & DANGEROUSE CULT ?? THEY SEEM INNOCENT ENOUGH BUT I BETTER KEEP MY DISTANCE AND STAY UNDERCOVER FOR THIS ONE
  12. I'll go with Champion on this one guys, but not positive ?? I think the Alleys show a bit more wadding in the glass !!
  13. Oh no !! I think I'm hooked, either that or I've developed a stalking problem since the beginning of the C19 & become a "Waldaholic" I think I have some clothes like Odlaw, I know I have mibs like that & like Waldo, Uh Oh, I may have already be infected.
  14. I do believe I've had enough Waldo for a while, it's been snowing hard here and boredom crept in so I resorted to "Waldo - ing" I have to admit it was fun for the first hour I guess all the magic in my eyes is just about used up lookin for good old Waldo
  15. Good grief, I looked and finally relented and had him or rather her point him out. I do believe the same person who came up with where's Waldo also invented the fidget spinner. If you tend to look down all the time or are depressed these are the perfect shoes for you If you like everyone looking at you then this would be you next choice. I wonder, is there a name for people with an affinity for anything & everything Waldo ?? This is where a couple hours of Waldo finally brought me Reminds me of my old Olympic synchronized swim team days.
  16. Love it when you can see the striations and flow in the glass( top R ) my new pix are coming I have to wait for them to fossilize first. " Thanks for the great pix " Better late than never !! seems I am getting quite well acquainted with this position.
  17. Thanks Ron, great pix. I know I have quite a few Jackson a few Cairo & maybe some Davis. Davis probably only about 5 - 10 I'd really have to dig to find em. All piled together, I know that's no way to keep em but if I don't fiddle through them all the time they won't get beat on. "Thanks again" for the pix Ron.
  18. Here's an Ebay sale from the other day, of a mint electric yellow CAC slag just like yours, maybe a little wetter, close in size as an example for you to look at. It's shown under UV. and backlit. This is an electric slag ( Or transparent swirl ) like yours, not a "striped transparent" striped transparent are rarer examples with white or another opaque color at or near the surface, in the rare cases where the opaque color enters the interior of the mib you have a CAC transparent submarine. I know it is a little confusing, I'll include some more pics. Many, many you see on Ebay are misnamed because the real striped transparents & submarines are rarely seen. Once seen you will not forget. CAC "STRIPED TRANSPARENT" : NO FILAMENTS OF COLOR INSIDE : (VHTF) These pictures courtesy of my friend Terry, I sold and traded the last of my CAC'S 3 or 4 months ago including most of the ones above except the single and double seam red slags. "CAC STRIPED TRANSPARENT SUBMARINE" : THIS IS A $ 1000.00 MARBLE, (VVHTF ) NOTE HOW THE OPAQUE COLORS GO IN & THROUGH THE INTERIOR OF THE MIB STRIPED TRANSPARENT SUBMARINE BACKLIT :
  19. Maybe a few pics of each to get started, Thanks & appreciation given to joes marbles & mibbage for the pix DAVIS: 1947 - 1948 DAVIS : DAVIS : CAIRO : 1946 - 1950 CAIRO : CAIRO : JACKSON : 1945 - 1946 JACKSON : JACKSON :
  20. Pelt. Rainbo, nice, clean mib !!
  21. You know the ones on the bottom on either side of the lifesaver cork in the center aren't oxblood right ?? Oh!! by the way, nice milky ( second row from L ), limeade ox and especially like the egg yolk ( good coverage ) Wish I would have had a kick start like yours Tommy, "excellent mibs"
