  1. The purple one is awesome. Three different shades in one marble?--Killer for sure. The second one is not too shabby either--love it! Great group for sure. Marble--On!!

    A struggle

Just an awsome chocolate and red Pelt rainbo. I have seen one or two in hand. I agree HTF. Marble--On!!!
  3. I agree with a possible CAC on the first one. This color combo in CAC marbles varies quite a bit, color/shade wise. More images needed one this one. No Jabo, Vacor or Pelt here. The second one is a WVS--vintage. Marble--On!!!

    Vitro ?

Akro I would say--maybe a Master. The Vitros are famous for the "V" but many patch type marbles from various companies will show this same effect from time to time. You just have to envision the glob of glass being rolled after the cutoff. I am surprised that it does not show up more often in other patches--other than Vitro. Marble--On

    Akro ?

The first one is a killer Master Made marble IMHO. The second may be an Akro but I would sort it as a Master Made as well. Don't let the "eyelashes" fool you, I have seen them in Peltiers amongst others. I just call them like I see them. Marble--On!!
  6. Top shelf Gladys, in any collection on the planet(or maybe the universe). Thanks for the extra images. Marble--On!!
  7. Keep on posting Gladys--keep your mind in a healthy place. Too many is not enough!! You will never bore me. Love the Akro----especially the middle one in the second image. Marble—On!!!
  8. Brothers are special, My youngest Brother served in the "First Gulf War" and a few other deployments including Afghanistan. Back in the first days, we communicated only via US mail and sent back and forth “mini cassette” tapes just to hear each other’s voices. He actually sent me a live Scorpion from the first deployment. It arrived alive and kicking---I froze it and put it into a block of Lucite for him when he returned. I was not too happy to find it but I always took precautions with him sending me stuff. He suffers from gulf war syndrome to the max, but he is alive and happy. I feel your pain non-the-less. Brothers— Sisters, Sons, Daughters, Mothers and Fathers on as well !!
  9. Three rare ones, in my world at least. I love Akro Corks, you never know what you may find, color wise. Marble--On!!
  10. I would think that sellers would at the least, appreciate an offer. Sadly, too many take it personally. I have made ridiculous (really way too much) offers that were just shut down without a counter offer. A few have been responded to in a nasty way, including face to face (or face to back turning away). Is it really that hard to be nice or respectful? It is easy for me—just let it flow and of course--- Collect—On!!!
  11. The OP is an Akro corkscrew--no doubt in my mind at all. Sorry to say that not even Akro was pefect in all of the ones that they made. It is a great marble IMHO. Of course I am a corkhead. Marble-On!!
  12. This is just a really great bunch of what I would say are Peltiers. These are not an easy find in my world. Marble--On!!
  13. I just love these little Clearies Why--- because I did my due diligence searching “common lots”. I just love finding what should not be there. This one is just less than 5/8”, what a beauty! Search/look closely and be rewarded!! Marble—On!!!
  14. I search for these agates with hit marks. Perfect is not collectable to me in this area--the more hit marks the better. I just love them! Just think of the glass and clay marbles that were destroyed by them. These were obviously marbles that were used and enjoyed in years past---keep them and revere them as they were by the ones that owned them. What a great thing to own and collect. History in Agate marbles and you can hold them in your fingers! Marble-On!!
  15. Dave, You are near the top with that Vitro. It is a very nice one. A great "best". (worthy of the "Your Sunday Best" post for sure) Marble-On!!
  16. Hello Sherry, If I had to start somewere, I would start with Imperial Glass. This "frosted" slag glass was made by them and others as well. I am not so sure that it is an ashtray. Slag-glass On!!!
  17. This one seems special to me. Have you viewed the Alley videos on youtube? Check them out. Marble--On!!
  18. Same here Fire. Multi colored Swirl. I always liked them but never thought that they were a nick-named marble. You never know about these Pelt names do you. Live and learn! Marble--On!!
  19. Thanks Chad, When you only have one to compare with none it is just a hard thing. What do you think about #2. WV swirls are not an easy thing for me to ID. I know one when I see one but to ID to a specific company is a rough one for me. Marble--On!!!
  20. I am not familiar with the name but size matters price-wise. Marble--On!!
  21. Hello to all of you WV Wednesday marble lovers. I just felt like posting three today, it could be the weather. (Yes, I had to shovel snow today) The first is 7/8” a bit beat up but no apologies. This is the only one that I have seen. Alley? The second one is 5/8”.It looks like it wants to glow under UV but it does not. Ravenswood? The third one—well---just a killer marble. 9/16” No guess or ID from me on this one. As always, any and all opinions are appreciated, from any and all. Marble—On!!
  22. Images 3 and 4 are just reeee---aaly nice.----Vitro? Marble-On!!!
  23. That second marble deserves another post or group of images--They are all nice but that one splits my mind. Marble--On!!
  24. You have great instinct Chad. I would start comparing this one to more Veliglas marbles and form my own opinion. I think that you know what it really is and I support that. Marble--On!!
  25. The colors are true on this on Chad---different for sure--Thanks! Marble--On!!
