  1. Nice ones - always have liked the blended types - much underrated in my opinion.
  2. Great stuff - thanks for sharing, Steve.
  3. This is hte picture of Les' that Clyde was referring to. I used it as a guide for some time but a while back, someone (maybe Ron) pointed out that one of them was wrong - the Ravenswood was a Champion also. Les had listed these on eBay and they were CAC - Ravenswood - Champ
  4. That first one is a tough one. There are some CAC's along those lines but not my area so I'll have some popcorn and watch the show like Steph is (hoping hte show starts soon...)
  5. Thanks for sharing that, Craig! Now we know that clay marbles are made today - looks like pretty simple process. Neat to see kids playing that game. Rough curface! Now I have to find one of those bags/packages of clay marbles. Craig - I assume you're going to find them. Maybe buy a couple for me, too?
  6. That seems right - with instructions and mint, maybe $25. I agree with Steph on probably Alley with the Bullseye bag.
  7. Looking forward to it! By March, all you easterners and northern mid-westerners and northeasterners (I'm good at making up words) should be ready for a change of weather. Come out this way to visit all of us!
  8. Thanks all! So far today it's been all work (volunteer type) but now time to relax, hit a movie and dinner.
  9. I have picked up a few Pelts over the few years I have been collecting although not many high end ones. I like the unusual Pelts - here's a few I got at the Orange County (LA) Show a couple years ago
  10. Somewhere in the above, there was a question about whether any were in packaging. With regards to the Peltier Citrus types, Jeff Hale posted a picture of one of the boards back in Feb. 2003 or so. Here it is a Peltier Big Boy bag.
  11. Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a marbleous New Year!
  12. How's the ice fishing, Griff? Hope you have a safe and warm birthday!
  13. Of course it depends on the condition of the box. The one I picture here that I have I got for $25 or so. It's a little beat up so... I have seen these range from $20 up to $45 or so but it's been a while. There are also some Weatherbord Shoes advertising on an Akro Box and some others I believe. Also, some bags but those you have to be careful of since some may have been "filled".
  14. Neat display - good variety of marbles like Black Eye Pea, Sweet Pea, great corks, furnace marbles and some 8 fingers....
  15. Not that I have seen unless they were an accident. Theirs were primarily transparent swirls where the internal swirling was random and the sirls would 'touch' each other throughout the pattern. In a true wirepull, the pattern does not 'touch' itself.
  16. Here's the one pic I have of the one Roman Marble donated by Bert Cohen to National Marble Museum. I'm guessing it was transferred to WVMAG with the other marble items.
  17. If you are not sure Steve - maybe it is a Vacor...?
  18. I have not see one like that or even a picture, except the pic you posted last Feb.
  19. Once you have more than two colors plus the clear base and wispy white, you have a hybrid popeye. Calling it a 4 color popeye is just furthering the description, which is good. A hybrid could have 3 colors plus the clear and wispy white or 4 or 5... Obviously, the more colors, the rarer the popeye.
