And I also found two Akroware pieces today separately. I haven’t gone through it all yet but so far this is the best stuff, the two CACs are pretty beat to hell, but they should polish nicely. Looking good so far, congrats!

browncat73
The glow on yours looks like mine when backlit a bit and the color matches a picture I found online of a box of reelers, i'll try to find it again.

Don't drop it, an antique German handmade Banded lutz. Not just any lutz but the rarest color there is "pink" not sure of the exact value but definitely way over a grand even w/ damage. VVVHTF (very, very, very hard to find) a once in a lifetime find (if your lucky) Man what a killer find.

PittsburghMarbles
Can’t believe it, just found this original set of Akroware at a flea market. It’s just missing 2 pieces, but I can probably find those on eBay or something. Finding these in the wild is pretty impossible nowadays, this is the first set I’ve ever found just driving around. 3
akroorka
The box is the thing and you have that nailed. The pieces you will find, just carry an image to match them up. Nice find for sure!!
•~Emily~•
I’m new around here but figured I should chime in in this thread every now and again since I’m always on the hunt for marbles. Went to the flea today and found some to make me smile. Keep in mind I’m not the most discerning collector. But for $15 was happy to hire Jack’s tow service to haul this raggedy German (1.5”) home for me. The others I believe to be mostly wire pulls(??still learning so if wrong please bonk me on the noggin) … for a dime a piece I had to swoop ‘em. The blue one has what I believe to be a pretty pronounced pontil (again, love feedback because still learning) the little frosty one was also a curiosity. Never seen one like that before. It’s about .51
Steph
Not a pontil. That's a machine-made marble. So that's some kind of error in it. But nice haul all the same! P.s., I think "West Virginia Swirls" as opposed to wirepulls. (Wirepulls are from Europe.)

I so appreciate all the feedback I can get I’ve really got to get to a marble show one of these days so I can get my paws on the real deals and get an eye for them.
•~Emily~•
Not the most exciting find for the average collector. I however am crazy for game marbles. I like collecting all the different sizes and colors. Haven’t been able to get too much into the ID side of things but do know that some are “special”. The individually pictured ones were in there too. I’m pretty sure the large yellow is a Master?? And I’m super curious if there’s any game marble experts out there to give me the insight on the little brown ones (33/64). They have a super cool swirl action Hugo if on. The blue one also has some very familiar looking seams but I can’t figure it out. Like I said, not exciting to most, but figure it doesn’t hurt to add to the score thread. Even if it’s just a score for me. the big green and white one isn’t a game. Look familiar to anyone?

PittsburghMarbles
Bought this on the fleabay the other day, hopefully its not damaged. Been looking for a Betty boop that wasnt outrageously expensive for a while. Now Ive got 3 out of the 12 Peltier picture marbles. Of course not counting the rare ones like Tom Mix etc that I will probably never ever find. s-l500 by PittsburghMarbles, on Flickr 1

Nice find! In the first photo I see a few goodies and what looks like a Kokomo marble too, with Ox blood and lipstick red.
PittsburghMarbles
Just bought this Orphan Annie Peltier picture marble too. Now I only I have 8 to go. Might also get a Smitty, for the right price if possible.

Yes it’s a White based red peerless patch. Finding them with no splatter is nigh on impossible. However as the splatter is as made on most I don’t find it to be a detriment to the marble.
