I don't have too many Hand mades, but I do have these; an onionskin lutz, 25/32nds, and maybe the most boring handmade ever, an inch and a quarter single pontil, clearie. Nuthin' goin' on in there but a few small bubbles. Thanks

Bruce

I do love German hand mades, especially onions.

The pinkish one is my baby...2.5" studded with mica, the blue mottled one is 2" and looks great for being lightly polished.. another favorite a multilobed onion, reminds me of an impressionist painting comes in at 1 5/8"

No visible facets on this agate, doesn't mean they're not there, I may be blind but I haven't seen that many hand faceted mibs this small.

I love clambroths, so when I find them in any condition I have to get em! Even a wee bit "weathered" they still look great.

Isn't it weird that every time I look at my clambroths they seam a little more weathered ?? Like they fall apart all by themselves, I've isolated one to see if the glass actually deteriorates by itself or not. Sounds crazy I know bout after close inspection over the years it sure seams to be true ?? Guess we'll find out "maybe" ?? AH, nice mibs yes !!

It's true, the 2 red ones were my dad's, he picked them up in the 80's...kept them in a glass enclosed sewing spool container all these years...perfect for mibs btw and they totally shed glass. It looked like the bottom of a broken candy cane bag..lol.

I'm still not sure what they used these big daddies' for but it certainly wasn't play, mantle pieces maybe ??  With all 4 marbles having the earlier type construction characteristics of faceted  pontils on one end and on the other a melted pigtail one things for sure they did little else but look at these monstrosities for 150 years or better !!

I thought I would put a little more focus on the first German I ever found, highlighting the interior as best as I possibly could so as too see it's design.  At least I got some better shots of the colors. Man, has he been through some wars! Happy Thuringen Thursday!
