That's a nice colorful assortment!

The transparent swirls can be tough, especially the ones that are, essentially, slags. I'd probably stay with Alley. Transparent Ravenswoods are usually a bit more sparse. Regardless, it's nice batch-glass white swirl.

Naturally colored yellow limestone marble, likely from Sonneberg-Coburg area, early 19th century. Described by Gartley and Carskadden in 'Colonial Period and Early 19th-Century Toy Marbles', p. 105.

It's intriquing . . . If it was a factory box, I would expect to see the company name & address on it, somewhere, either on the top or side of the lid, or at least "made in the USA" along with the logo stamp. It also seems a bit too fancy for a stock box and not quite fancy enough for a gift box so . . . ? Having said this, it's important to realize that I am near clueless about Akro boxes.

I should have said it's 9/16" too, which is another reason I am hopeful and leaning Ravenswood.

I never actually sampled them, and I stand corrected. The 5% for error seems entirely reasonable too.

These are my most treasured because I got them in trade from a dearly departed Dutch marble friend, Winnie.

Brent Marshall You will not see many marbles from this glass artist. The biggest here is about 1 13/16"

You're right, AkroOrka, Alibaba is a great place to scout new marbles, especially of Chinese origin.
