  1. I'll gladly buy back the Red Angel you bought from me.
  2. Fun to see that you found some American-made marbles in the wild over there.
  3. That shows the problem with posting so many marbles in one thread. Very hard to keep them straight when trying to help ID. Get dizzy going back and forth.
  4. Gotta be one of the cooler logo marbles I've ever seen. But I don't know the story either. Common ones with cartoon characters like Snoopy or brands like John Deere, those aren't a mystery. They're popular. People overseas crank them out. But this one ?????
  5. The small flat ones are called "gems" over here. Made that way on purpose. You can buy them for decoration. I'm not familiar with the larger ones. I don't know if they were made like that on purpose or not. Yes, I do like them.
  6. What a beauty. Congrats on ferreting out the background.
  7. Very neat looking. Two of the views look corky. Alley would lead my guesses, but I could see it going different ways including CAC.
  8. You may have noticed a couple of changes. @Chad G. has agreed to be our newest moderator. With my gratitude! Go easy on him. Also, there's a new ability to give reactions to posts, which can give reputation points to members. Have some fun with that.

    Vacor?

The left seems like it could be Vacor. I might have guessed older on the right. Does the Vacor Troll come with such a translucent looking base? I don't suppose the base glass on the right fluoresces under blacklight?
  10. I think handmade. But who? I don't recognize that particular pontil style.

    MK?

I'll go with MK. The left one has a classic MK patch and ribbon pattern going on in the blue. With the brown added in, that one might be special. Not sure what to make of the pattern on the right, but strongly leaning MK.
  12. Sounds like a good plan. I like 100.
  13. The legendary collector David Chamberlain lost his battle with cancer two days ago.
  14. Wow ... what a concept ... growing geoducks?! Amazing view.
  15. Nice! The speckled ones look tasty!
  16. I think we can safely call it an Alley.
  17. Wait! You said shooter? What size? The closer a vintage swirl gets to one inch, the closer it gets to being a slam dunk Alley.
  18. It's what is known as a West Virginia Swirl. That much is for sure. But there were about ten companies in West Virginia making swirls, including the Alley Agate company. (Ron would know the exact number. I haven't counted them up in awhile.) So it can be tricky to know which of the swirl companies made it. I think "good chance Alley" but that's the best I would be able to do even with more pictures. Others are better at swirls than I am!
  19. You are correct about some of them being moss agates. The top marble is a Peltier Rainbo. The second marble is a clearie. Then you have three moss agates. Then the swirl with the aqua ribbons might be an Alley. And the last marble is technically another moss agate. That's what Akro called it. But modern collectors might call it a blue eggyolk.
