  1. Love it! And a happy and safe Fourth to you.
  2. I expect it's part of a regular clearie run. I think the oxblood is accidental, associated with the blue coloring. The path the oxblood ribbon traces could help illuminate the structure of the marble, and thus could give a clue about who made it, but that would just guessing the maker for fun. Nothing definitive about maker. Edit to add: but not Christensen. Probably someone who was making marbles in the 40's or later.
  3. After an unfortunate detour which resulted in this thread needing to be closed, the problem has been fixed, the thread is cleaned up and reopened. Thanks for everyone who was on top of this.
  4. I am also hopeful that this will turn out to be a brick.

    Vacor ?

    NICE Veiligglas

    Ally...name ?

Those shades are very dark for Alley. I'm leaning toward Vacor Volcano. DETAILED INFORMATION (billes-en-tete.com)
  7. Could be. Some Veiligglas comes with interesting little textured bits though ... might have been something that was put in the glass more intentionally.

    Cork ?

Not seeing an Akro cork here. At first glance the glass looks Peltier. But I don't recognize what Peltier style it could be either.
  9. That is very interesting. Thanks for sharing. And so large with so much detail when zoomed in. I'm impressed.
  10. Too true. Now I know nothing!
  11. (Just kidding! I don't know what to say!)

    rainbo?

I'd call Bruce's a tweener also. A Multicolor Rainbo could be solidly NLR ... but the structure and texture on this one seem to be maybe just a little bit later.
  13. I think "lined china".
  14. I just edited my post bigtime ... because apparently I can't tell left from right from middle. Glad everyone was polite and didn't tell me how much my directions sucked and how little sense it all made.
  15. Wild is sweet. This one is wicked cool.
  16. So, at a minimum William's marble is a Tri-Lite. What else it may be, I do not know.
  17. Elites and Superiors are both examples of Tri-Lites. Superiors need two red ribbons surrounding the yellow patch. The Brandstetters came up with that name. All I remember about the Elites is that they were colorful. I didn't know which if any colors were needed. @tankgrrl29 came up with that name. Both are discussed in this article, the Superiors in a more specific way. Older Vitro Marbles (Tri-Lites) (marbleconnection.com) Superior photo from the article:
