  1. I can't swear it's not CAC. The colors also kinda say Akro, but I don't see signs that this was meant to be a cork.
  2. I think you have a Czech bullet-mold marble there.
  3. Hi. Not green hornets. Looks like modern Marble Kings.
  4. This is what the search engine pulled up about sonic cleaners: Oddly enough I was one who posted about sonic cleaners ... but I was collating advice from others.
  5. I thought about Ravenswood on #5, because I know they did white and blue in clear. But the examples I remembered had been brighter and crisper so I dug out my other sets and the Jackson looked quite close.
  6. It is a beauty, in spite of the dings. Pretty glass there. I don't know maker. I'll move it to the main forum for the marble cleaning discussion.

    3 miles!

I'm bragging about this everywhere! To hubby who is still trying to sleep, in email to my brother, on facebook, here, .... I ran three miles! For the first time! My previous best distance was 1.6 miles. Not very fast ... but it turns out from looking at a 5K run website, I'm right in the middle of the pack for the average time a woman of my age would run that distance. So now I have a "personal best" to compete against and I'm so proud of me!
  8. #6 Alley The bright white on #1 makes me wonder about CAC or Ravenswood ... or slag. The larger size on #12 would point me toward Alley, but it's not _too_ large to be a different maker.
  9. Alley on #2. And I have a gut feeling about Alley on #11. I think Pelt on #12. That's a "rainbo" pattern. Maybe Master on #10. Looking through my dug sets, the closest I see to #5 is Jackson. No answer from me on the rest, other than the generic "WV swirl" category. But if I were going to guess the next one I'd take a shot at would be #4 because of the yellow and I'd go Alley. But I'm not guessing. My brain is full.
  10. Found mine. Modern MK, complete with aventurine.
  11. Oooooh ... some beauties. Remove the ball bearings! Don't want to hurt those Akros.
  12. #1 (on the left) and #4 are Peltier Rainbos. #2, 3 and 5 would be WV swirls Correct, #6 is modern Asian
  13. ( thought I could quickly put my hands on some of my modern MK's but my reorganizing attempt strikes again. They're not where they were last month. Gotta remember what "smart" place I decided to put them in )
  14. That vane is so thin, and I think I recognize the color as an MK shade. So that's my best guess -- modern MK.
  15. Let's see the other end. Some of the modern MK's are really hard to tell apart from Vitros. (And some resemble Heatons, but that's another story. )
  16. While I gear up to restore Akro pictures to my timeline thread .... here's this news article from 1951. I don't know if the plans were followed through on .....
  17. The lustrousness of the blue in the second one is making me think Alley.
  18. Can we have a larger version of the last image? It's American-made. My first thought is Marble King, but can't rule out Vitro at this time.
  19. Without seeing pictures, going to say olive tinted is not special. That sounds like what we call coke bottle glass, and it's not considered good. With it not being blue tinted, that makes me feel better about Master or foreign, like perhaps a German cat's eye or what some might call a German sparkler.
  20. Maybe Master? Not sure. would like to get a good feel for how many different ribbons of each color there are. And is that base tinted blue? That's different. But for now I am thinking Master or foreign. The middle part looks Master.
  21. I couldn't remember my delicious hamburger recipe. But then I remembered that I had posted about it in this thread, and posted about the various changes I made over time. It was the above ingredients, plus raisins and cilantro. All ingredients are waiting for me in the kitchen. Gonna be good eating tonight.
  22. I guess that's good. Uranium base could have complicated my already wobby guess!
  23. I'm not solid on my answer so I wouldn't feel comfortable trying to pin down decade. But I would guess vintage. P.s. maybe it really is Peltier. So much for Vitro being my final answer, huh? The large white patch is why I'm thinking Vitro. But sometimes Pelt "ribbons" look like patches. Does the baseglass light up under blacklight? It does look older to me.
