  1. I _think_ I can see two seams. The top picture? Is that a seam ... or half of a seam?

    No idea

Vitro Conqueror on left. Maybe slag on right. Looks like the white may go deep in addition to the brushed part.
  3. My guess is that it was in the Moss Agate family (as far as Akro was concerned). But as far as a collector's name, I do not know. I'll send this over to the main chat area since we're looking for a technical name, not so much a basic ID.
  4. So, I don't know what style name Akro meant for your marble. It might have been a Moss Agate. It might have been an Imperial variation or a Carnelian variation. I know a lot about Akro style names. But I can't put my finger on what Akro would have called that one.
  5. For it to be the style of marble which Akro sold as an Ace, the orange glow coming from the backlit marble needs to actually be coming from the white part of the glass. With as much red as you have, it's hard to tell if the glow is coming from the red or the white. Below is Dani's box of Aces. I'm not getting an Ace feel from your structure but the density of the base glass in different runs could vary.
  6. Mulitcolor Rainbos (also known as Multicolor Swirls especially if they are busy enough) are very well-liked. They get oohs and aahs when they are posted. I don't know about "sought out".
  7. The first two are regular Rainbos. Tri-color has gone out of fashion as a name -- I think it was confusing. What was most often called "tri-color" is now called "multicolor". The first two have three colors if you count the base glass, but we didn't usually count the base glass ... we were concentrating on the ribbons. Look for three distinct colors of ribbons. Usually six ribbons in total. And then you have what used to be called tri-color. So, the third marble would have qualified with its red, white and blue ribbons . But as noted, now we call it a Multicolor Rainbo. The fourth is not quite as clear to me. I may be seeing a Multicolor Rainbo color combination -- red, white and aqua. But is it coming from three distinct colors of ribbons? Or is the aqua coming from the base glass?
  8. Small. Then I'll stick with WV swirl. Sometimes when the color is almost all on one side, and sometimes with a hook in the ribbon like you have, we get a Cairo Novelty ID.
  9. Oh, what size? If a big one then maybe Jabo.
  10. I'll say WV swirl, not corkscrew.
  11. 30's to 50's does make sense on the date. You have some Peltiers, a lot of West Virginia swirls, one more more Akros.
  12. Some people call the red, white and regular-blue ones Pepsi marbles.
  13. Hi. Welcome. That's a "Contemporary". A modern handmade marble. Sometimes a maker will leave a signature. Do you see any letters or numbers which appear painted on or etched in? Condition needs to be judged in person. From the pictures it looks like this will be NM+ or M. (Near-mint plus or mint.) It takes time to learn to grade marbles. They need close inspection. You need to develop an eye for any little nicks or subsurface reflections ... without getting paranoid about it and blowing some microscopic defect out of proportion. In the meantime if you're trying to sell, then provide nicely detailed photos of all sides of the marble.
  14. Agree with Vitro. I guess it would be in the All-Red family.

    MK Shooter?

Top: I think MK on the ends and Peltier Rainbo in the middle. Bottom: That may be a Vitro Whitie on the left. Could be right about the last two being Alley.
  16. Vitro Cat's Eye. Nice photos.
  17. Welcome! ... link didn't get there for me. This seems to work: https://www.instagram.com/designsbybing/?hl=af Nice pendant in your avatar over there. That blobby cane look really works.
  18. slush, slush baby ..... to be followed by 9 days with only one chance to break above freezing.

    Popeye?

So ... how do we get the orange? Still not understanding. Thanks for your patience.
