    Help with id

Thanks, Ron. I didn't recognize it.
  2. So, how does it look with your other Whities? I'm not committed to this.
  3. All are supposed to be veneered ... but what's inside can be different.
  4. Kinda leaning Master? ??

Agree with Al. First thought Asian. Very nice. Not the typical ones we see.

    Alley?

I think Veiligglas. From Amsterdam. Such debris is not unheard of. Nice effect.
  7. Noooooo ! Really? You could part with that?

    3Marbles

This might be a Vitro Conqueror. Is the interior transparent?

    3Marbles

The middle one is a Vitro Tiger Eye. I think that's a 1960's version. The left is looking like some kind of cat's eye but different view might change my mind. The right appears to be some kind of patch. If we could get a clear shot of the seams that might help someone make an ID.
  10. The marble community lost Roger Alfrey today, to spinal meningitis. Such a shock. He was a good friend to me. He had gotten heavily into Marble Kings recently. He had a lot of marble adventures this past year. If you are active in the Facebook marble groups you were probably lucky enough to have an exchange with him. Rest in peace, friend.
  11. very handsome .... and the marble ain't shabby either
  12. odd ... getting a slightly newish feel from them. Could they be 1990-ish Vitros? Need to hear from someone else.
  13. No ... no idea where the bag pic came from
  14. Why do I suddenly smell bacon?
  15. Here is an example Winnie posted of six-vane cat's eyes with what we call cross-throughs. The bottom left one is a clean example of one with all three colors crossing through and no white, which could be the most valuable of the lot. But what would the market value be? I do not know.

    Need help

I do not know. I'm wondering if they're oddball Marble Kings.

    Help

Okay. (Not sure from one view, but looks like the bottom could turn out to be a modern Marble King.)
  18. Are they actually selling at $25? I think the most I've sold one for was about $15 ... it was a 1" aventurine. I wish I had it back! I wouldn't be shocked to see a three-way cross-through with bright colors and no white go for a few bucks ... But most Japanese cats eyes would be down in the few cents range if you could find a buyer. Pattern matters a lot. Maybe someone else will share thoughts or pictures on the most valuable Japanese cats. I might be able to find some pix tomorrow. But gotta say goodnight for now ....

Aw, thank you so much, Bud. Made my day. ♥ Nice to see you.
  20. The left marbles is a Peltier Peerless Patch. From about 1930. I'm getting a general West Virginia swirl feel from the marble on the right. Also vintage, but maybe not quite as old as the Pelt.
