Tomatoes are good sized now out there (pictured with a nickel for size comparison)....someone wanted some fried green tomatoes! It's going to be crazy in the coming weeks because I'm sure most will ripen all at once. Some of the cucumbers that were picked yesterday also...

I'm in the extreme Southeast corner of Minnesota so that's a long ways away...quite some fires 🔥

Air Pollution Alert started yesterday morning until 10pm tonight due to smoke from Manitoba and Ontario, Canada's fires....quite the sight to see driving home around 4pm yesterday. About 4 miles outside town you have a great view of the countryside and skyline going west, all that haze hanging like a blanket over everything.

Pelt? I believe so...an oddity? Not sure, of the wide variety of Rainbos I have this is the only one like this. Pure white base, somewhat opaque, and mustard yellow.

Besides me, her only other "visitor" was this hawk, which perched in the parking lot below almost every day.

It's all good....Patty was isolated for over a month at Gundersen Hospital late last fall with her neck surgery. Total lockdown, 0 visitors. This was my view when I would drive the almost hour to "visit"....that's her waving at me from her window when I took her some coloring books and fresh clothes.
