Here is a nice little Vitro Parrot at 5/8”.

Little Parrot.jpg

Nice marble, Art! Vitros and Masters are about the only patch style marbles I care much about, and this is a very nice example of a Parakeet, which I think is what the 5/8" parrot-type marbles are called. Here are a couple more . . .

Although the left one has a little too much white showing for my tastes. 🙂

Yes Ric,
Parakeet may be the collectors name for these smaller ones but I prefer Parrot.
Whenever I hear or read the word Parakeet I flash back to being 3 years old. I stepped on the family Budgie (poor Peetie) and he was a goner.
I really did not get it at the time but I have been reminded of it plenty since then. We got another Peetie—he flew away—smart bird that one.
Parrot on!!

And these big ones have a lot of transparent glass . . .

And they're all squeaky clean too.

I like the nice clear transparent ones as well--simple beauty.

Great marbles Ric! Great colors as well!

I wish that Swarovski made round marbles, I would get me some.

This is as close as it gets for me so far, a Swarovski “marble”--lol.

(good thing the sun was out today—the camera went wild trying to focus)

Marble—On!!

I'll try to remember that for future reference - baby parrots from now on.

That is a beautiful piece of glass!

Do you believe I worked on a farm in Waupun in the summer of 1975? Small world?

Well, it wasn't actually in town, which as I recall had one stop light and took about 1 minute to drive through back then. lol

This is an awesome photo, William - the interior is great. I can almost hear that ribbon in the center of the marble saying, "I've got your nose!"

Thanks, Ric...I just love those micro thin, inky blue strands winding through the gaps

I like this pair, a very light pink with traces of lavender and purple around the edges of the pea greenish patches. 0.75

I like these too William, I wonder who made them.

Pink or purple in a marble is aways a cool thing. Gray is just different for sure.

Marble--On!!
