Steph
Chuck ... those Champion-like marbles are freaky ... I don't want to think about them!
cheese
Yes, Champion is what I would have thought too. I have some other cullet that makes you wonder. Some of the transparent CACs are not as distinguishable as you would think. I can't remember what pics I've posted here but here are more. Sorry so many at one, just easy to select a lot. jhomer2172
Can you tell me the name of the red swirly trans marble in the fourth group from the bottom? I’ve never seen these on eBay or even in other CAC pic layouts! thanks jon

cheese
Right Ric, that one doesn't belong. I'm not sure why I had it with the CACs. Those were some I took a few years back, some trying to match with cullet and stuff. I should edit it.

I completely understand the challenge of identifying swirls, even if you have cullet in hand - sometimes, especially when you have cullet in hand! lol. And I'm sure there are still many Alleys and Ravenswoods in CAC collections - it can be exceptionally tough to change minds away from CAC. But you know me, I'd take a Ravenswood that looks like CAC over a similar CAC any day of the week!
cheese
Yes, I remember years ago telling a fellow collector that he was looking at all marbles though CAC colored glasses. It happens. When we are after a certain maker, we want them all to be from that maker. I guess that's one benefit of collecting all makers instead of specializing. Most of all, I want accuracy. It's hard to attain sometimes.
