  1. Yup a rockin bruiser. It likes Metallica! I have it's band mate.
  2. They talked to the person that wrote the Akro book but doesnt put the name. Nice CYA.
  3. My thoughts exactly. An auction is suppossed to garner the best price for them and the cogsigner. But if you dont do internet bids nor absentee bids you cut down on potential money.
  4. On the ancient marble. These are very hard to find. I bugged the ancient dealers at coin shows for year before they finally came through. One is layered with the outside layered on the base making 2 snakes. The second is different where they pushed rods of color through the base. They are more of a conversation piece as they are not striking beautiful.
  5. David, please pm me or email at clydetul62 at yahoo dot com. Your pm not work. Thanks.
  6. The cases I bet are antique. As Norm loved antique displays. Not sure where he got the grid. John is probably correct.
  7. That's why Dave liked it. I had seen this in hand and it is beautiful.
  8. Dani loves to tease. She wants make sure you get the extra $$$. As to the grid I have seen other dealers use this too. Cut to size and can fit "almost" any size marbles.
  9. I have several of the type in the last 2 pics. Both with white and yellow bands. When back lit it has a clear core. The colors match very well to the faceted pontil oxbloods and the later MFC oxblood bricks.
  10. Try not to be too hard on yourself. Everybody has aacidents now and then. I would have had an accident over the the bowl.
  11. It's the Easter effect. Very common for the next couple months.
  12. Isnt that what finding them in wild means Greg?. Great GR, Craig. You always come up with outstanding stuff.
  13. Except line 4 (which are clear based electric orange slags) all the mibs in that box are opaque.
  14. I agree with Winnie. You have an illegal alien. Except this alien is a Euro.
  15. Last time I was at the Vegas show I picked 3 Fisher jewel trays. All 3 were 1939 World's Fair. My question is 2 of them have a dimpled surface. The third has a smooth surface. Does anybody know what the ratio from dimpled to smooth is? Also the the patents are different too. Dimpled=Pat 99857, smooth=Pat 2094529, DES 99857.
  16. I wonder if the aventurine was by accident? I have been prowling a few antique shows in the last few weeks. I came across the same marble. Minus the aventurine. Same color, same base, same size. But alas no avent.
  17. I have only seen the swirls in blue and green aventurine. Other aventurine they did was brown/black coloe. I have a flame where base is white. One side has opaque blue blames. The other brown/black aventurine flames.
  18. I have gotten several groups at a time. For some reason that white/purple/green is the most common.
