  1. I'd put the first with my "possible" CACs
  2. Tough call. Onionskins are most susceptible to the poles opening up with polishing. If you go ahead please post some "after" pics.
  3. Condition looks pretty rough but a couple are interesting. With the glass marbles just be careful with hot/cold change of temperature, they could fracture. The China's look clean enough I'd probably just leave them.
  4. But are they Shades of Deep Purple? lol couldn't resist. Yeah so purple makes perfect sense for Navarre. I'll stick with my original guess on the top one
  5. Good question! The grayscale must be throwing off because they all look different sizes. No wait, I see what you mean.
  6. that would be a fun group to sort. I can see enough from those pics to convince me
  7. Maybe the same company that made the marbles for Hungry Hungry Hippos?
  8. Maybe it's the crop that makes the marble look way out of round. Does it light up under UV?
  9. Lol, I'm the same way with most slags and just about any swirl.
  10. I'll stick with my original opinion of remelt on the Lutz, suspect on the peppermint.
  11. If Stephen King saw those he'd probably say "tough titty said the kitty"
  12. WRT faceted pontils, This is the best I was able to do with my trusty 5MP years ago (on the red and yellow).
  13. Something looks wonky with that Lutz, a re-melt would be my guess. The peppermint swirl (red, white, blue) in the group shot also looks a bit suspect in terms of the reverse twist and number of red bands.
  14. Colors of the second one say Akro but the pattern is off.
  15. Now you might be getting closer on a couple (more views required). Nice group
  16. Interesting that "made in Mexico" is in French.
  17. by manufacturer mainly. Although sorting by pattern (patches, swirls, flames), or era (Handmade, transitional, machine made, modern) might make sense for some people. Same with color combos, or Country of origin (German, Japanese, Mexican, Dutch)
  18. To me it looks like a chip and large fracture at that pole.
  19. Yes to the OP. Too bad about condition, but I probably would have snagged it if the price was right
  20. Yes. The symmetry, color, and patterns are all eye-catching. Some of my favorite marbles. Nice display
  21. Welcome to the site! As others mentioned, a lot of vintage German handmade marbles from your inherited collection. From the pics I'd say at least a dozen would be considered on the higher end of things, the 6 individual ones the most. Nice marbles. When it comes to value, condition is Very important to collectors. Although sentimental value is another thing that is hard to associate a cost with. Thanks for sharing!
  22. Some people go nuts for Lutz (6th down). #8 and 11 look pretty clean and same cane. Nice Germans
  23. I was on the fence with "mist" but for some reason thought they had Mica along with the translucent colors. Not a type I think of often, thanks for jogging my memory
