  1. No, these are perfect. I'd say 90% of the dug ones I have seen have annealing fractures.
  2. That looks like normal heavy play damage. Maybe some slingshot action.
  3. I confess that it hasn't crossed my mind - prior to you mentioning it.
  4. 1. TRUE Akro Experimentals (of which there are very few varieties and limited number - despite some seller claims to the contrary). 2. Complex contemporaries that require significant preparation, talent and time to create. 3. Better Ravenswoods 4. Rare Akros 5. Most large mint handmades
  5. There is nothing about it that would allow anyone to pin it to a maker. Somewhat unlikely that it is an artist, per se. More likely someone goofing around experimenting.
  6. It is a contemporary (new) - made on a small gas torch.
  7. Ken was a nice guy and a very gifted artist. He had the courage to follow his passion and make his art style his own. I have always admired his skill and art - which was a departure from the style used by most of his peers. He and his artistry will be missed.
  8. The nice thing about contemps is that we have a wealth of artists to choose from - and their work evolves over time. Some of that work speaks to you and you can assemble examples that match your specific interests.
  9. Obviously Moretti glass. Some of the supposed handmades from that seller are even signed.
  10. Reasonable. Maybe a bit of a decent buy. All had some fair chip(s). The 3rd was shrunken core.
  11. This makes me miss the great work that Bill Murray did with contemporary micas.
  12. Its from a few sources: http://simplyperform.com/2015/03/26/building-relationships-with-marbles/ Its all over Pinterest, Alibaba and stock photo sites like a rash.
  13. Does the shipping postage meter show a package weight?
  14. I have an Akro pee wee brick - I found it in the dirt on the hill behind the plant's back wall. Its a tad out-of-round and has some surface chill marks which tells me that it was just a small bit of glass that fell on the rollers at start-up. I don't recall seeing any production brick pee-wees - although there are some that been polished-down to that size.
