Mojo Posted March 21, 2023 Report Share Posted March 21, 2023 Reacted on an advertisement today After work i went to the seller Few blocks away from where i live A white latticino he had for $10 When i was there i asked , do you have more .... Yes he said..... He showed me 26 more marbles I was blown away of the condition of the marbles and he had the solitaire board also , and just the top of the box Same cane caught my eye I spended a bit more them $10 $150 he accepted for all I was on a blue cloud rose then instantly whooohooooooo What a catch 🤹♂️🥳 SCORE !!!!! The ones w/ true black, the solid cores, look for av w/ a loupe in the green ribbons, the same canes are very nice also. Best IMO are the solid cores w/ black, next would be the latt same cane w/ the black ribbon. Ah, I like em all man !! PittsburghMarbles Posted March 25, 2023 Report Share Posted March 25, 2023 Just got these from Roger Hardy today. A giant mint and no fractures 1.25 in Akro patch and a nice mint Akro brick. The big marble was dug by Roger and he said they only found a handful of the large ones and most were fractured. A nice master box, an old marble bag; don’t think it’s Akro as it doesn’t look quite right but it does appear to be vintage. And found a jar of later alleys and such. This deserves highlighting and emphasis as to the great difference it is compared to most other Oxblood Bricks. I mean, unlike others, here you have one that only Akro made. This Oxblood is of the type that's called 'Mottled' as it's different than the standard where are usually grindy and sandy lines. This does not show up in any MFC oxblood rather, you'll only find it in select Akro's like lemonade UV reactive oxblood and others Milky, unreactive and others that are 2-3 colors. Lot's of bricks out there yet, very, very few that contain an Oxblood which is mottled verses fine lines of red and black. But I did find two decent jars and here’s the mint stuff from them. A couple nice alleys, a nice champion, really nice master, and an Akro patch, think they’re called robins eggs but I’m not sure.
