  1. Top could be a West Virginia Swirl. Possibly Alley or Champion. Bottom could be Master.

    My new kittens

In our forearms we're supposed to have two bones. The kitty orthopedist said that Punkin is missing all or part of one of the bones, in each arm. This is not something that is likely to be fixable. Months of uncomfortable treatment _might_ result in some improvement, but the vet recommends just letting Punkin be Punkin, keeping his nails trimmed for him, and periodically checking his arms for sores from how he runs on them. So that is the plan.
  3. It's interesting. I'd keep it someplace safe just in case it turns out to be an unusual old one. I don't have a good guess.
  4. Christensen Agate had some handgathered marbles, beyond their basic slags. Galen posted a few. With more than one color in the amber base, I'd looked to CAC before MFC.
  5. Is that green, yellow, orange and white? Handgathered but what? I don't think it's MFC with that many different colors. Unless some of those colors are just added by the camera and not really there. Rick, you might be giving me too much credit on this one. Or maybe it's one of the many things I've forgotten.
  6. I hope that's not really in your dreams at night .... but I wouldn't be surprised if it was.
  7. I _think_ that style could have different makers in it. I would call them jobber boxes. "Jobbers" are people who purchased marbles in bulk from manufacturers and then packaged the marbles for sale at dime stores and such. The head of the WVS crew is @wvrons
  8. I don't know any specifics, but I have definitely heard of people digging up handmades in Germany.
  9. I think #2 on the top is a Vitro. I'm wondering about Christensen for #2 on the bottom. The middle on the bottom has Pelty colors but I can't see a Pelty structure -- intriguing marble.

    Marble ID

I don't know but I can bump the thread for you.
  11. So many different Jabos. Lots of color combinations.
  12. Will try. Could take a bit. I struggle with accuracy of color. Was glad the lavender showed up at all.

    Jabo Runs

I literally cannot remember. I am tempted to say no, but I keep finding things I forgot about. That sounds like something I might have gotten at least one of.
  14. Good idea. I don't have much. Here's a liquor bottle. I just picked it up along the way. Not special enough for the thread ... I just wanted to play.

    Jabo Runs

My 2008 marbles got mixed together when I tripped and shook the box they were in. it was a flat box and they were in loose groups with flimsy separations. I still have them in the same box so that one day I might be able to separate them.
  16. Did you go through eBay or through a protected avenue such as Paypal "for an item or service"? If you didn't even get the marbles shown, that should qualify you for a refund.
  17. "Dug" means found by modern people digging at an old factory-related dumpsite. Some messed up marbles which probably didn't pass quality control have some from dig sites. Some nice marbles have also come from dig sites. They could have been dumped for different reasons.
  18. It has a "buttcrack" which is often associated with Jabos (made after 1990). There are dug Akros and Pelts and Alleys and more with "buttcracks" but without more strongly identifiable features, Jabo is a good bet for marbles with buttcracks.
  19. I'm a pretty big "no" on this nondescript marble. It could possibly be vintage -- such as a messed up Akro. But I suspect it's modern.
  20. The buy/sell/trade forum is available to members with 100 or more posts. It will show up for you in 38 more posts.
  21. Sunrise might be the right name. I don't know the names for the more unusual rainbos very well. I agree that you have a fairly hard to find one. And I'm pretty sure I've seen them called both "sunrise" and "clear clown". The regular clowns have a darker base, if I understand correctly. That's why I've seen people use the word "clear" for the light based ones.
  22. I may have seen that called a clear clown. It's a beauty.
  23. Gosh, Rick. Thank you. I'm blushing now. Welcome to you, akroorka!
