This one looks orange on my moniter ast least. I think that "German" sounds right. An orange slag in any condition is a rare thing to find. Nice marble!!

Hmm, it sure looks like a Corkscrew. The white in your images shows as light blue to me. I have seen these before and the damage lines up with an Akro. Marble--On!!

I purchased this box a few years ago—glass top under the cover –very nice shape—I just love old boxes like this—guess why I purchased it?

Most of us here have been around for quite a while. The very oldest Marble Board on Planet Earth. Many of us have decided to retire and quit or move on to death---not me. You know what. We have a responsibility to pass on the knowledge that we have acquired. The knowledge that we have is not achieved without another one or two or several behind us. There are kids at five years old that love marbles as much as we do at 25 or 105 years old. Let’s keep this thing going and pass on the Marble knowledge that we all know. Welcome RosalieR to "TheMarbleConnection". This is the oldest marble collecting board on Planet Earth. This one would have been a good contender in the "Oxblood August" post. When holding these mineral spheres/marbles you can just feel the coldness in hand. (Spheres are any round thing over 2 inches) Glass warms up quickly--mineral spheres do not. Just an observation on my part. Marble—On!!

Alan may be a purist--more power to him. This one is not too shabby for a first find. To find these mint is a pocketbooks worst nightmare. Marble--On!!

You like it so I like it. It is a pretty common swirl that was made by a multitude of makers. A wvs no doubt. Marble--On!!

This one is a Pelt imho. Baby? Nope! These Pelts come a lot smaller than this. They had a Peewee machine after all that is still in use as far as I know--from another maker. Marble--On!!
