It was on my list forever & I never dreamed it would come the way it did !!  The surfer, a Goblin  etc... marbles there are only a few in existence, but who knows, if that one came walking through my door, "maybe??" Yeah right !! I'm waiting on that second lightning bolt.

What's the most used name ?? I've seen a few similar, as with many pelt one offs and variants. seen a few close but never a name. There was one we called a tomato about 15, 20 years ago but I haven't seen one since, kinda similar to what you have. Hang on maybe I have an old pic ??Ah ! found it, well my memory isn't what it used to be. Four Reddish brown ribbons on a creamy kind of off white base. I still have another almost like it but no pix of it. Now we have 2 instead of 1  off the wall pelt !! Just looked again for pix of the other one a no go, guess I'll have to take a few. No guesses on the name for yours yet.

Well I knew I'd find something if I kept digging, new to me marble with an old name !! Tomato or Tamato

The now named Tomato, guess a daily check is in order, from a named NLR to a rainbo ??  Hmmm I think I'll find a real bizarre one and call it scrambled eggs since there already a few pelts in the egg family

I know, believe me, hard enough to keep up let alone remember the old names & those that have been changed, shared etc... a source of contention for some, just marbles & a source for good discussion for me, here to have fun, learn & relearn & probably relearn again as provenance provides.

Hello Bo,

Here's a good example of a Peltier NLR Plum Citrus. Two translucent purple ribbons & 4 almost opaque yellow ribbons on a translucent white base, of course there are variants as with any marble, this is just a standard one. Maybe a few more views of the ones you suspect as citruses would help out immensely "Thank You" Nice bunch of Pelts !!

Just from this one view this one looks like a Pelt NLR Christmas tree with a few burnt ribbons?? I believe you maybe have one or two Pelt Rainbos there too ??

"Pink" base glass is rare on a pelt as you probably know, no matter what it is. I've had (one) NLR & that's it. No name that I know of !! No name for yours either that I know of, 15 or so years ago on an obscure Peltier I.D. site they called the one I have a "Chocolate Bee" ?? I know it makes no sense to me either, I'm not the one who named it. If it were me maybe a "Strawberry milkshake" Much pinker in hand, too much bright lights in this pic. A very nice bunch of Pelts you have there Bo !!

I posted these in the "score" but thought I would share them here also. Ric mentioned that the clear based Rainbos are much more difficult to find, and I was thinking about how much production there might have been with the various clear glass Pelts. A closer look reveals that the lines are so thick in some that they appear almost like the veins you would see in a cat's eye. An oddity? I took 2 pics of 3 different blue ones and and 2 pics of an amber glass with orange lines (the ones that are so thick) I tossed in the other 2, the 7up green and the somewhat clear based with super thin lines just too add extra close ups of these cool marbles. Thanks for looking and for any opinions 😊

The colors are endless, yes the transparents are a bit harder to find. I keep all Pelts unless they're really beat or an opaque white baseballs that I already have hundreds of. Some nice mibs for sure, I like the transparents .... what am saying, I like em all  !!  :confused-smileys-327:
