  1. Thanks, Greg, for taking the time to post all those pictures. Great items!
  2. Oh boy, off to the races! Glad you got wheels now, Weldon! Enjoy!
  3. David, you have to remember that you are a "newbie" to the marble boards, the Internet and the various "things" that have been worked out over the years when it comes to giving opinions on the identification of marbles online. If someone posts a picture and "Joe" says Akro. If he is wrong, or someone thinks he is wrong, the responses are usually negative as if someone knows "for sure" that the ID is correct. Sure, the "negative" responders are not nice and shouldn't respond that way, etc., but they do. And, therefore, those of us, in many cases, started using the IMHO (or similar verbiage like Edna does) to offset the negative responses ahead of time. That is why many posters use the IMHO. Therefore, David, instead of trying to change the world of online posting "procedures", accept what they do and why they do it and go with the flow. That's life!
  4. I emailed Kelly and she said she said she knew of nothing unusual with the marble. Both bidders were knowledgable and had bought from her before.
  5. Better pics but I'm still in a quandary. Now I might even lean towards a Vitro Cosmic Rainbow type marble. Neat one!
  6. The box in the 2nd pic is probably the valuable item there.
  7. Could be Vacor or wierd Vitro horseshoe style cat's-eye or even a contmep - hard to tell from pics.
  8. Yup, newer MK 'rainbows'
  9. Here's a pic (maybe Bo's?) of Master Marble fake and real box comparison.
  10. Here's a picture of the bag they did for the first run.
  11. Have a great day, Leroy! Keep up the marble mending...
  12. I noticed that he had gone 'up' to 139 about a week and a half ago and then a few days ago, he's 'down' to the 60's. Someone's doing a lot of voting...
  13. You mean this one...? Not me but same person you bought from.
  14. Hee's more pics of that commissioned piece of art in the hotel lobby - lots of neat artwork through the hotel - even on each floor.
  15. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Windy.
  16. I didn't see anything posted yet so hope I am not wrong. If I'm correct, have a great birthday, Lou!
  17. I haven't see the name before or boxes like that. No reason to think they are not original. The marbles do look like some that Don Miller (poplarhead) had posted before as early Vacors and I think Patry had even confirmed that.
  18. Interesting, nice looking marble but I don't see the normal Pelt reversal of color order on each side of the seam. Looks like a Vitro to me. But, I don't specialize in Pelts or Vitros so...?
  19. The first show I went to was SeaTac (by Seattle) back in 1998. I had not made the decision to collect marbles yet. My wife and I attended the show itself (knew nothing abotu the in-room trading, etc.). I bought one MK Bumblebee for $7 and that was all I bought. Went home and started to learn about marbles; decided on machine made marbles; decided to collect packaging to learn who made what marbles and voila....
