An old picture I know & already posted but pertinent to this post. A group of ades w 2 cherry ades a limeade, a lemonade and a rarely seen white patch ade. Guess the top (R) cherry some would consider a vaseline base instead of an ade base. Still uv reactive, if not more so w/ a slightly different color glow.

I got to look at a batch yesterday, was scheduled for next Thursday.

she had been to some local shows, years ago, where she said some dealers helped her ID her mibs.

I’m not sure what the real story is, she had vitro conquerors listed as slags, the slags had no ID, just a “?”.

two shoe boxes full of bagged mibs, lots of clays and game marbles.

these were in separate bags, only ones I brought home.

5 - 7/8” AKRO corks.

1 - 7/8” Alley swirl w/small metallics. Not AV.

1 - 3/4” Alley metallic.

none are UV reactive.

Looking at my collection, and I only have 1 other 7/8” multicolor cork, also . Are they uncommon at this size?

happy Friday!!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I would call these "not common" for sure. That being said, any marble, by any maker, is uncommon if it is over 3/4" IMHO.

Akro made a bunch of big marbles--7/8"-------I would have to look further into my stash but I bet that there are more 1" Akro marbles than 7/8".

Akro Friday--On!!

Thanks!
I’ve got a good number of 1”, mostly single-color. I’ve got a 1” green/yellow, looks dug. Second row, 1 from the right.

A great score yesterday, a full set of Akroware, appears to be in very, very good shape for the age. Box # 112 pieces match the set w/ only a partial fold on one side. Plus they threw in an octagonal sugar bowl I needed. White & yellow cups are uv. 2nd week in a row, I'm a very happy camper  :)

2 weeks in a row...love it when good hits roll together! Your box looks great I'll add 👍Original price, I would think so, before sticker pricing was widespread 😊

Just taking a nap here.

I couldn’t help it, this marble just looked like an eye closed to me, and so I played around and flipped it. I do not know which set of images was better so I posted both sets.

Blue Oxbloods are real sleepers.

They usually need to be lit-up with some form of artificial  light to really be revealed. This is my best shot of one yet. This one revealed itself better than most do.

Marble—On!!
