  1. What's the size? Some Euro wirepulls have a flamy pattern
  2. Was this from a specific batch? Can't imagine it was intentionally made although |'ve only seen that type of metallic on the white/blue base.
  3. Pretty neat, like the pictures. Some fantastic examples. Good job!
  4. The condition would exclude a lot of serious collectors, but some people would want it just to have one. See if there's any Mica flakes in the blue, which would make it a bit more unique.
  5. You figure it's cut from a cane and not individually hand gathered? hard to tell from the second pic what that is (indentation or part of the pattern?) Cool looking marble
  6. Squeeze in a couple old blues before the clock chimes
  7. Super pattern. Not seeing Alley? but anything is possible. Most of the foreign marbles have a more distinct (rougher looking) cutline, with the German ones of this type (based on the bottom left view) having a single gather ponitl that is faceted.
  8. Interesting, thought the new old fashioned were larger, but I'll admit Champions aren't a company I've spent much time on. *edit* and then I read the rest of the thread, lol. Carry on
  9. Is it full to the waterline? top of the bridge? 10th floor of the building on the right? lol. Cool contest and glad to see we can rally around a good cause. 1157 is my guess
  10. Almost looks like they were in barrels, is that a common shipping method for marbles?
  11. I'd like to say the second set of pics help (more than deepen the mystery), lol . Is there anything specific that rules out Alley for you? That's my guess.
  12. Cool find. Hard to say value or type. Most ceramic marbles are more collectible if there is a pattern or glaze. I still have a couple marbles I found in the garden of my old place. Not because they were anything special but more because I associated them with a point in time.
  13. Is it glass? I have a clay flower vase with a similar pattern. I believe the painting technique (when used for old book covers) is actually called marbling.
  14. Is this a limited printing with a sign-up list somewhere?
  15. Probably tap stem valve, but small victories count right?
  16. Welcome. Some unusual marbles for sure another couple views of each marble will help (they don't have to be huge pictures). Most likely machine made in USA within the last 80 years or so. I'd guess at a few once some more views are available.
  17. it's been a long time since I bought anything on eBay, unfortunately that steak will continue (outbid) http://www.ebay.ca/itm/232184345374?ssPageName=STRK:MEDWX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1435.l2649
  18. Any updates? Need to get a belated X-mas present for someone (er...myself). Thanks!
  19. Looks like a Euro wirepull as others have stated. Are the rest of the group similar? Usually if there's one, there's a couple others in the group. If you need help to ID marbles this is the right place, lots of helpful/knowledgeable people here.
  20. I reused a similar plastic tray that originally packaged muffin/cupcakes from the grocery store
  21. Pic of the Pontil looks legit, I'd be belly laughing too.=} ho ho ho
  22. Yeah I chuckled a bit too, glad you got the joke. Didn't say the one in question was modern, but surely you agree it's an exception to the rest of the group (which was my point). Believe me, I've come across diamonds in the rough, and if that's the case great! and congrats!
